Andrew, your candidate of choice is a good one. Your hopes for Reagan-Democrat cross over votes because this single issue of illegal immigration is burning so hotly with so many, might be over estimated. Your pessimism with the state of the nation on this issue and others, likewise. I know some township governments that actually stepped up praying, right after the ACLU said no to such. I know some township governments that had policies of not giving assistance to people without proper identification, same as the mayor you laud. At least one other Republican candidate shares the immigration convictions and pro-life convictions and isn't wimpy on jihadist terrorism and that is Duncan Hunter, maybe even Huckabee. As the pools thin perhaps the big money won't prevail. Soros didn't prevail with Gore or Dean or Kerry and Perot couldn't buy the election either. As you say, it will be interesting.
