Dear Mr.Baehr,
I am a huge fan of your writings and website. I am Nicholas King and, believe it or not, I hope to become an actor, when I grow up. I notice the trend that Hollywood movies have followed since the end of the 1960s, whereas movies have become more vulgar.
I was recently in my school's production of the Stephen Sondheim musical known as "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum."
If anything it offended me. The material in it was exactly what one would see in a Mel Brooks film and I was shocked. There were sexual references not suitable for a high school(Take note that I am in 10th grade.) I was put in a mere ensemble part. Yes, I wanted a bigger role, but after seeing how sexual this play was, I was lucky to get a part with cleaner material. It wasn't as big as one would want, but it was a blessing in disguise. The girls had to dress up as harlots.
I am lucky I got the cleanest part in the play as a mere ensemble singer.I was supposed to play a bigger part, but they gave it to an older actor. Of course, that part had vulgarity involved, as well.
Ted, I am thankful for a Christian movie website that shines a small ray of hope for the entertainment I consume. God Bless You.

My kids are all grown and I did not have this problem so much. My youngest is 20 so I know what the condition of the world is. But I spent little time on who he was but on who JESUS CHRIST WAS. And not so much on what he should do as what Jesus did for us. We try NOT to focus on ourselves but try to focus on Jesus Christ. Lou
