I am sorry did not see your response until today. Yes I agree that the church is a good thing. But there are two women in the stories of the Bible and of course two churches; the false and the true. Israel was the true nation of God and many thought that to speak against Israel was wrong; but God spoke against the nation of Israel many, many times in the Bible. The reason He spoke against Israel was that God wanted Israel to repent. God complained often of unjust judges so He was concerned about the government in Israel. I believe every Christian has one focus and that is the Holy Spirit of Jesus and to do as He tells the person to do. I think II Chronicles 7:14 puts the responsibility right in our lap. Lou

Lou, I understand where you are coming from but I also know that the bible says the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church. The Church is a good thing. We are God's precious posession. I don't know that it is just the Church that determines the consequences that take place in this Nation. I have a hard time with people pinning the problems in this Nation on the Church. Who should we have voted for last go round? Obviously, there is no ideal candidate this upcoming election. Perhaps it is because as a Nation we have forsake God that He has given us what we deserve. However as the world gets more evil and more evil, I don't expect it is in the hands of the Church to turn this around. I agree that our main focus should then be to win and disciple the lost.

There's a Christian position on this issue? Go figure.

I went to the polls and voted for this man, and now he betrays us once again. The government cares nothing for the safety of its own citizens. I am given a ticket if I don't wear a seatbelt but foreigners don't have to obey our laws at all. We have become a nation of fools.

Let me ask you a question. Are not the condition of the church in this nation and the government of this nation part of our fruits. Jesus is going to judge us all by His ways and no man will quote the Bible to Him and tell Him how to judge. Lou

How could anyone read the Bible and think God is not interested in our government. God is interested in every detail of our lives. We are to seek the lost but if every man would teach his children there would be no lost. If every man would vote responsibly the government would not be in the shape it is in. Way back in Abraham's time Melchizedek was a priest of God and the King of Jerusalem. Joseph, David, Daniel and others held political positions and were approved by God. If God is not interested in our government why did He take the authority from a corrupt people who claimed to be His people and give it to Babylon, Persia, Greece, and then the Romans. Amos 5:18-21 18 Woe to you who long
for the day of the LORD!
Why do you long for the day of the LORD ?
That day will be darkness, not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion
only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall
only to have a snake bite him.
20 Will not the day of the LORD be darkness, not light
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
21 "I hate, I despise your religious feasts;
I cannot stand your assemblies
God was upset with Israel because they did not stand against injustice. They had let their government become corrupt. Do not long for the day of the Lord it will rain on the just and the unjust. It will be a day of darkness without one ray of light. You will have only yourself to blame when it comes. Lou

Keep in mind that this plan has already been mapped out after NAFTA. Ultimately the plan is to unite Canada, Mexico, and the United States into one nation. Then, through CAFTA they'll bring Central America on board.
These moves are only the beginning of producing the Masonic New World Order that has always been behind our so-called "Christian" President.
Be ready.

We will only be judged by our fruits. See John 15 and 1 Corinthians 3 for more details. Christians are called to seek and save the lost, not to make our country into a dominion of God. That is NOT our calling from God.

"Mexican drivers unfamiliar with our roads and signage, plus language incompatibility, are a danger to all driving Americans." That is an understatement. Mexican drivers are a danger to all Americans who believe that this great country of ours was once safe from invasion and disaster. These trucks are just the beginning of the creepy crawling infestation of evil seeping into our country. We think we have a nation of rebelliousness now! Just give it a little more time. Everything that is good about our country is about to be trampled on by those who have no allegiance to the United States of America. And where are our leaders who once served to protect us? Where have they all gone? Just like Larry Burkhead, Howard Stern and Virgie, allegiances have changed right before our very eyes. If I didn't know better I could be furious, but the One World Government has to happen, so why should we be surprised when we see men like Bush, whom we thought we knew, become puppets to help bring about that certain end.

Phyllis, how are you using your conservative credibility to stop this insanity. Letting Mexican truckers in must be part of a plan that includes the North American Union, lack of action (except words) on immigrants that are here, as well as doing next to nothing to seal the border. Will you be the conservative voice that leads us and saves us from this disassembly of our country? Also (as if the above isn't enough, WHY is all this happening???) How can a Republican administration do this to America?

It seems that most Americans cannot or will not see what is systematically happening to our country. Most have read about the AU (American Union) that is not so secretly being planned, but few of us know what to do or even care as long as our wallet and life style is not touched. Most of our elected officials have shown that they do not support the original laws of our land as well as the appointed Judicial branch also having shown a disdain for the same.
I firmly believe that the next presidential election will chart the future path for America with either a re-building of the constitution and the free enterprise values once again setting the precedent or the complete demise of the Republic as it has stood for many many years.
This policy, it seems, is just the next step in a executive, judicial, and legislative mandate that flies in the face of our 3 part checks and balances system. Constitutionally our armed forces are to protect our borders yet our Commander in Chief appears to have the unchecked power to open the border at will, first to a human wave of illegals and now to a few private companies with no restrictions.
Who does the President answer to?
Well that is answered in the following statement: ...and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth...
Mark my words that in the not to distant future America will see more border problems to the north, along with the global warming farce and other distractions to ensure we take our eyes off the southern border and even more importantly the transference of wealth and power.
It may be time that the "people" stand up for what is ours and begin to call to task those who have perverted the original intent of this land of freedom.

It's just another indication of the failure of the American church (of which I am a part) to pray and be involved in all cultural and government aspects that affect us. We will have to answer for it.

I'm very curious to hear what Bush's justification and reasoning for this decision is. A question I have is: Phyllis said that Longshoremen jobs will be replaced by low-wage Mexican workers. Will the same happen in our trucking industry. Will American trucker jobs begin lessening as these lower wage Mexican truckers are coming into our company wanting our higher wage jobs? If so, could someone please explain the economics of this happening to our trucking industry?
Thank you for your response.

I guess we shouldn't be too surprised about this latest move. After all, Bush 41 proudly proclaimed the beginnings of a "New World Order". So, it should come as no shock to us when his son continues its implementation. It's very difficult to see this happening in our nation. What has happened to my country?
