I appreciate this article. I do tithe, and I am outspoken against immorality and false doctrine, but the sin that I struggle with the most is worrying. BTW, I am thankful that there is no "worry rights" movement clamoring for special rights and benefits for worriers, or people writing books promoting the act of worrying, i.e. "Heather Has Two Parents Who Worry!"

I agree with this article. You did a good job Ralph!!! It is hard enough to admit these feelings to ourselves, let alone others. I often have the same thoughts, however, the Lord said to test him with our giving and see that he does repay us. I have the ability to give, I am already Blessed. We all are!!!

I have been confronted with the same situation. Lending a friend a large sum of money to get through hard times is a hole that will never be filled.
I would think the bible issue of being a cheerful giver is much different. A friend or stranger who needs food to feed the family or money to pay the light bill and a million other examples is another thing entirely.
Cheerful giver or Regretful lender.
There is a big difference.
