Of course our citizenship in Heaven is more important than in the U.S. While I don't agree with the plan in discussion and agree that NAFTA has been a dismal failure, I for one look forward to my Heavenly home. Now, more than ever I am getting a little homesick. While we in this life for only a little while, eternity means forever. The United States will become The Jesus States!

Want to see where we are headed as a nation? Read Gibbons, "Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire." In the 19th and very early 20th century, the Bible and Gibbon's monumental work were nearly required reading for anyone with aspirations for leadership or government service. Today, you may have a hard time finding a public library that has a copy of either work. Someone once said something to the effect that "those who will not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." It would appear that we have not only thrown God out of our government, our schools, many of our churches, and our society as a whole, but we have thrown out any desire to know what happens to nations and people when they do such things. Never have so many been so foolish.

Way To Go 49,WI -- This is not the first time that subvertives within the Federal Gov't have been at work at cross-purposes with the POTUS. Just take a look at what columnist Joel Mowbrey has written about the State Dep't at Town Hall archives. It will curl your hair and furnish much enlightenment...

Wow! How trusting the young are. I hate to say it, but I find nothing sensible about that post. That we (Americans) would have the govenments of Mexico and Canada involved in in-depth knowledge of our own commerce and possibly act in a checks-and-balances role is not only dangerous, but utterly rediculous and frankly, scares me to death. As for academic and societal benefits, as always, that would benefit only the other two countries, not us. We give and the rest of the world lets us. As for being morally obligated? No way...why?

This will be very bad for the propagation of the Gospel. Our rights to deseminate the Word of God will be curtailed, under threat of monetary penilty or jail time, because our Gospel will not be 'tolerated' by those in positions of power who wish to have us live under Mexican and Canadian laws. A time of persecution will have arrived in America.

Most of your stated eschatology cannot be found in any of my Bibles with the exception of the Scofield notes in his study Bible. 1. Being aware of just the vast numbers of believers beheaded down through the ages would lead me to believe that Jesus hasnt a plan to remove any great number of believers from persecution. If our accounting is correct, there have more Christian martyrs in the 20th century than in any other. 2. The only two scriptures using the term antichrist is 1 John 2 and 2 John 7. The term antichrist, we are told by John, are any who have come out from the believers denying the Father and the Son or Christ in the flesh. The meaning seems to be denying that Jesus is God. 3. There is not a single piece of scriptural support to connect the term antichrist with the 490 years of Daniel 9 or any other place in scripture as a title or proper name. 4. There is not a single piece of scriptural support to suppose the 490 years of Daniel were not consecutive or that there is a 2000 year gap after 482nd year. Imposing any of your assumptions on scripture would require a new divine revelation. Reading the Bible rather than prophecy books designed around false paradigms might help ones biblical understanding. Study faithfully and be humble to the Spirits illumination. Please concentrate on removing the secrecy so that we can react efficiently (hopefully to some original source documentation). Speculation about what has not been revealed can be a futile waste of effort. Journalism needs to pursue the useful information upon which we can take action. Must we wait for congress to expose this, or can we dig it up with other, reliable means?

Well! . . . Is it obvious that you dont consider your privileged citizenship in the United States of America to be more important than your citizenship in the Kingdom of God? Questions on the Christian Worldview test should reflect the supreme loyalty one had to Jesus our Lord rather than Republicanism as lord. Way to go you traitor to earthly kingdoms. What a great opportunity God is providing for us Christians to serve Him in the cause of Christ. Just think how much easier it will be to present the gospel to our neighbors. Eternal life is a free gift! How much better can it get?

While not surprising these events and plans should call Americans to wake up and realize how close we are to losing our "Americanism" and becoming just a small part of the "one world" ideology. I am saddened that our President would not realize the impact of these kinds of decisions. It is bad enough that former President Clinton was selling us to the Chinese....now we better bone up on our French and Spanish!!! May God bring revival in these fast moving days.

There is no doubt that this article leaves one a bit queasy with the thoughts of out of touch power brokers selling the soul of our nation. Then again, the article was not laced with strong biblical admonitions imploring Godly Americans towards a holy obedience. In a national sense I'll concede that the Word communicates biblical principles that uphold blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience, however this doesn't equate to economic prosperity and happiness as the author thinly suggests. Before judgement is passed it would seem as if many more questions need to be asked and answered. At this point in time I really don't have any substantiated rational reasons not to trust our President. Liberal democrats seem to have turned the hearts of many American against the man, however it seems to me that he has all the right enemies and the folks that know him well still love and respect him.

The constitution gives congress power and leeway over all matters of commerce. Such a plan, if it was to be implemented, would first have to go through congress. That being said, a set up that will improve our struggling economy, create jobs, bring prosperity to poverty-ridden mexico, involve three governments keeping each other in check instead of simply one with only its internal checks to fall back on, as well as the academic and societal benefits that the mixing of cultures, languages, perspectives and ideas, hardly seems like the work of Satan--It seems like something we are morally obligated to do.

The only error for your comment is that Jesus will have returned for His true church before all those martyred ("beheadings") Christians occurs...which is during the Tribulation Period. That will be in the second half (3.5 yrs) of the 7 year rule of the Anti-Christ by Satan.

I have been reading about the North American Union for some time and am glad to see it finally getting more widespread attention. My belief is that this "partnership" will lead to disaster for United States citizens, particularly the middle class. I live in Texas and am very concerned for my fellow Texans whose property will be seized under eminent domain for the building of the superhighway. Until I heard about the North American Union, the lax enforcement of our border policies simply did not make sense to me. Now, however, it's easy to see what's going on with our borders. The current crisis is but a precursor of things to come--specifically no borders between the United States, Mexico, and Canada. It's time to wake up and stand up to our elected officials, many of whom no longer seek to represent the best interest of the citizenry, but are looking out only for themselves and the corporate elite who will benefit most from this scheme.

There are strong overtones of this fitting well within the "times of the end" Biblical prophecy. One poster is accurate in stating that the North American Union could very well be one of the Biblical end times' 10 nation/region alliance making up the One World Government/Economy/Religion. Those who discount TRUTH are in self-denial by calling what we say as "conspiracy theorists" and discount us. However, those are the very ones (secular or religious) will NOT be "caught up" in the clouds when Jesus returns for His true church. And, they will endure the great Tribulation. The secularists and pseudo-Christians will take the mark of the beast along with the soon implemented computer chip under the skin. Enduring true believers - in the Tribulation - will go underground to survive or be killed. The invasion of illegal aliens (criminal law breakers) is a huge problem and "W" has all but agreed that there's nothing he can do about it so he's appeasing the criminals and their "sponsoring" nations by creating this non-America agreement to disolve our borders and national sovereignty. And Republicans conservatives still trust this President??? I guess their ability to reason failed along with the public school system. If sincere Christians and Patriotic Americans fail to act now on this, then they'll continue to fall for every lie and deception laid out before them.

Here in Texas, the news media says we are planning to construct a border wall/fence along the Rio Grande. The gubernatorial candidates are also promising tighter border controls with beefed up security. According to this article, the Feds seem to be going one way, while the state is going another. So who's telling the truth?

This article is very clear and well-written as to the facts. Is it possible that this "North American Union" will become one of the "ten nations" under the Antichrist? Sounds very possible to me. I think this is more of a threat to our nation than most of us realize.

I can see some of the concerns expressed where the implementation of such changes could be problematic. A socialist government and economy is a very big concern I would have and oppose. I do not see where the concept of a union of Canada, the US, and Mexico is inconsistent with historic US National policy. In 1776 Benedict Arnold led a failed expedition to bring Canada into the American Revolution as part of the US. In the War of 1812 a similar expedition was launched that failed. It took the Polk Administration to settle the northern borders with Canada. The Polk Administration essentially wanted all of Canada, but settled on the 44th parallel instead of the 54th out of deference to British power. Mexico has been a object of American expansion beginning with issues related to defining the Louisiana Purchase, including the idea that all or most of Mexico was part of the purchase. There was the need to define the US-Mexican border along the southern border of Oklahoma. The colonization of Texas and their war for independence in 1836 led to the Mexican War, our capture of Mexico City, the US purchase and annexation of the lands from California to Texas that took over half of their country under the Polk Administration. Finally in 1853 there was the Gadsden Purchase in 1853. We have had a defacto rule over all of North America for several years beginning in 1824 with the Monroe Doctrine and the Roosevelt Corallary to the Monroe Doctrine. Canada and Mexico have been so heavily tied to the US that they could be considered vassal states. Where the US has been wary of too much engagement with Mexico seems to over their political instability and poverty. It would take several years for the US led union to bring Mexico to the economic and political power of Canada or the US. It just seems to me that in some form we have wanted to do just what Bush is trying to do anyway; only we would have 13 Canadian, 50 US, and 37 Mexican states in the Union.

thank you for the information on the SPP...we would like to hear more of this on nightly news or anywhere for that matter...does this reflect on the Clinton Adminstration or the present Adminstration? Is it something Bush has control of or did the treaty have to be broken before he could do anything...or could he chose to do nothing?
