Unbelievable! The soaking articles are fantastic! These are well written and well studied/researched. Todd gives feedback based on Scripture. Yet, I'm amazed at the feedback! If people disagree with the author they don't hesitate to attack with vengence. The author (who I do NOT know personally) is giving a scriptural critique on a movement here. Sometimes a person is quoted because they are a part of a movement. It doesn't mean it's a personal attack on that person. Why the vengence??? I almost wish that these articles did not have feedback for this reason alone. Let it be enough to simply disagree and state reasons why, but for Heaven's sake, stop with the vengeful attacks!!!

Finally, it's reached its final part....after 20 days.

Oh My! Definately not an amen to THAT! Janice

If you can't post feedback and respect CWVs rules, why don't you stop posting?! What you said in the article, by the rules, is fair game. Personal attacks are against the rules! I can be critical of what you say, and you can be critical of my posts/feedback. But to get personal, whether or not you agree or disagree with me, is wrong. Oh, BTW, thanks Becky for the information about the limitations on posts. I was unaware. I wish you guys could work within the limits established. For example: the article started 15 days ago and still isn't finished. No wonder people are confused and rightfully critical of a straightforward topic.

Circle the wagons! Say Amen! when someone points out the emperor's new clothes! They're right, 41TN 30VA, about the article making no sense....and this ongoing article should have been edited properly before posting. The in the gutter language by the author 44TX in a reply to feedback given, and those who would say amen to that type of potty talk are simply reprehensible. How can you call yourselves Christian and justify those remarks? So much for being in the world but not of it. Hank.

I'm appalled by this "author's" feedback reply. It sounds like he's in the world and prone to it's ways. Where'd you learn terms like that? Not by spreading the Gospel, and submitting to God, I can assure you. Go back and read your article. Your feedback reply is just as bad as you're saying this false-teaching is. Both are an affront to the King. Gene

Is the name calling necessary? As stated on the feedback page, Commenting on a person's public statements, actions and writings is not considered a personal attack. And that's what 41TN did. But calling names and using christianized worldly words, like "your critical pansy tail (A _ _ )" is definatly a personal attack. That's what the author, I believe it was him, did.12:04:38 AM Age 44, TX Isn't an apology in order?

Sounds like you need to edit his feedback, as well, especially below. I'm really impressed with this author. Still, why couldn't this run-on article be on topic, and to the point: the socalled "soaking movement" in a couple of parts? If it's too long for this site, shouldn't you edit it for the site and reference/link to the full article with all it's bloviating glory?

Todd, can you explain the justification for the last comment you made to 41TN below? I mean, come on, the guy's right about the last two parts: if read on their own, they do not give you a clue about the topic, the soaking movement. Scott

Frustrated? Angry? Bad Attitude? Not practiced what you've preached? Sounds like you need a little more "self-seeking, self-indulgent, and self-serving experiences" with the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. I'm sure you'll be a little nicer after you go spend some time with Him. You really need to.

For your information, these articles are limited to so many words per post...so the articles are broken up in exactly the way WVW asked. If you need remembrance on what the article is talking about, please go back and re-read the previous post. All posts are listed under the author's name. It would be great if you found something more productive to do in your "spare" time, such as LIVING the Gospel to the lost around you. By the way, I am the editor for this author. - Becky

If you were in town I would ask your critical pansy tail to help edit. If you said "no" I would then ask you to shut your whining little mouth and go bear some real fruit.

Soaking definately has some inherent problems, beyond what Todd has discussed in this article. The experiences encouraged are exactly the same, if not only slightly different from some of the hindu spiritual experiences, and use similar methods to obtain these experiences. lighthousetrailsresearch.com/soakingprayer.htm Still, I have to agree with another commenter, the last and this article steer the message way away from the "soaking movement," making me wonder where we're going with this. I'm sure it'll all make sense when it's (continued...) And to answer Todd's question, "How do you think the people of the world who do not know the LORD view those in the church world who are engrossed in seeking continual self-indulgence, treatment and excess?" I think most, if they knew, would say, cool, where do I sign up or just say they're crazy? BTW, Aren't the unsaved expected to be critical of the church, not understanding the Gospel because their minds are blinded?

Why no mention of soaking on parts 3 or 4? Isn't that the topic?
Posted On: 09/13/06 11:58:25 PM Age 41, TN
When you read the last two parts of this article, part 3 and 4, there's no mention of the topic, soaking, anywhere. Why? And part 4 doesn't even have the title on the article page, so you don't have a clue about the topic. Is this an article, in it's entirety, about soaking, or just a runon article complaining about this and that and the other with the modern church, it's leaders, and their congregations with interspersed Scriptures? So much for professionalism out of one of CWVN's authors. If you need help, my 13 yr old could probably proof your articles in her spare time, and make sure they make sense, before you post. LOL
