A remply from the author: "Yes but we are not to be preaching the Law as a way to salvation in Jesus. " I agree by the Law no flesh can be justified, but you have made an error: The scripture says there are two ways to Heaven: 1. Keep the WHOLE Law perfectly, which is by works. 2. By faith, which is to repent and trust in Jesus as your atonement (Kapparah) and Savior (Messiah). ONLY Jesus kept the whole law perfectly, so that He could be the atonement (Kapparah) for those who trust in Him as He laid down His life for sinners. When Jesus rose from the dead and defeated Death the Law could no longer have any hold on us who entrust ourselves to Him and his fulfillment of the Law. We die to ourselves and live to Christ; We share in His death and in His resurrection when we repent and trust in Jesus as LORD. We testify to this new birth in this surrendur to God by the water baptism we undergo. We who were once dead in our sins are now alive in Christ, new creations. But we do use the Law of God to "bring the knowledge of sin" and to "convert the soul" using it lawfully, for which is was designed. When you use the Moral Law of God you awaken the conscience of a sinner and convict of sin, as you define what "sin" is by the Law. By the Law, all liars, thieves, adulters, fornicators, effeminate, faithless, murderers, and any who get angry without cause, the greedy, all homosexuals, all who dishonor their parents, any who will not end from their own attempts to be good enough for God by keeping the Law and cannot, and any others who have made a God of that which is no God, who have not trusted in He who is God, Yahweh, shall all be cast into the lake of fire, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Indeed, the Law brings death, as it should, so in Christ there can be a new creature. Old things can pass away and all things become new. We are no longer under the old Law of sin and death, but we are now under the Law of Liberty and eTERNAL LIFE in Jesus. No longer subject to sin, but now freed to obedience in Christ. No longer sinners and enemies of Yahweh, but now forgiven children of God. How great is your mercy Yahweh! How loving kind are you Yahweh, that you forgive the unforgivable as he humbles himself under your mighty hand. Patrick J. Burwell, OnlyJesusSaves.com

Amen brother. if you don't tell them what the commandments are how do they know they've sinned? before the law (commandments) no one knew what was sin and what wasn't. they also didn't know how to atone and ask forgiveness for their sin. with Jesus we believe in Him and repent and our sin is washed away by His Blood to be remembered no more. Praise and Honor to the King for His sacrifice.

Sounds like you're beating around the bush a little my brother. Is there some sin in your life you don't want to acknowledge? Jesus said, "If you love me keep my commandments" John 14:15

There seems to be some confusion here. The Law from the Bible is the Law of Moses. The Moral Law is not the same as the Law of Moses. Paul speaks much on this subject in Romans. The Moral Law is conscience. The Law of Moses was a code of conduct for those under the 1st Covenant. Can we use it as an example of Yahweh's holiness and how we are not anywhere close to being, 'good enough' w/o Jesus? Yes but we are not to be preaching the Law as a way to salvation in Jesus. The law of Christ according to Paul is superior and the cross should be preached, not the Law of Moses. Of course, the Moral Law is a good way to introduce someone to the Person behind their acknowledgment of right and wrong . Jim

Well done, Patrick, Well done. Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." He is Worthy! Praise His Holy Name! He is Worthy! He did not destroy the law or do away with the law for His word is forever settled in heaven. He fulfilled the Law and met every demand of the Law because He knew that we never could! The truth of the matter is that grace goes beyond the law. Take for instance, the letter of the law says, Thou shalt not commit adultery; the spirit of the law says, if you look on a woman to lust after her you have committed adultery in your heart. That is not legalism that is holiness unto the Lord. Holy living. We have been taught for so long about "love" and "liberty" that we have gotten into a ditch and now anytime the "Law" of God is mentioned, or Holy Living, or being holy the first thing we hear is "that's legalism. that's legalism!" O to hear of God's righteousness, His justice, and His hatred of sin in this day and hour. It is only when we see God as Holy, Righteous, and Just that we see the awesomeness of the depth of His mercy and how great His love is toward us, in that He gave His only begotten Son, He gave Himself in our place to fulfil the demands of His law that we might be saved. What an AWESOME GOD we have the priveledge to serve. Amen. Don
