Excellent report - with one serious error

This examination of that even was spot on, in every way. The only thing I must correct is this statement: "They believe the church is a theocracy not a democracy" The description of the NAR wolves is absolutely correct; but the church of our Lord Jesus Christ is NOT a democracy! There is nothing in the Bible that gives any cover for this perspective. The local church is overseen and led by elders given to her by the Lord. The only place any "votes" take place is in Act 6 when what are called the first deacons were selected by the people and brought to the Apostles. As far as ruling and leading the local church - the elders, who will account to the Lord, are charged with doing so, in humility and on the solid ground of what God has revealed in Scripture.

Our LORD YAHSHUA spoke of the churches that are present today as being the Laodician church. We know what is going to happen to them. Stand up and be counted as the Philadelphian Congregations.

The Good, The Bad, and the Spiritually Ugly

Thanks for your article on "The Response". Gov. Perry's recent appearance has to raise a brow or two with a number of other Christians also. Was Perry hesitantly forcing himself to make this appearance with the likes of Stringer and IHOP -OR- are Perry's beliefs hand in hand with the likes of NAR, IHOP, and Stringer (sure hope it isn't the latter). We're warned in scripture about false prophets and other "3 dollar bills" that will emerge, so their presence (NAR, IHOP, etc) doesn't surprise me. What does both surprise, and worry me, is the percentage of the general populous that is willing to believe them as they "tickle their ears" and sometimes contradict scripture as well. When they change or alter things in the Bible and claim "spiritual enlightenment" are they not wary to Deut4 & Rev22 which warn about adding to or taking away from what's written in the Bible? Are they not wary to the closing verses in 2Tim3 which informs us that the ENTIRETY of scripture is God-breathed? So then with the changes/alterations they're making via their "spiritual enlightenment" are they claiming God made a mistake(s) and they're the ones who are Divinely appointed to help Him correct errors in the Bible??? It seems that even King David had a problem similar to this with "spiritual carpetbaggers" centuries ago, which caused him to right Psalm 58. Psalms 58 (KJV) 1. "Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? 2. Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. 3. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. 4. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; 5. Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. 6. Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord. 7. Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. 8. As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. 9. Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath. 10. The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11. So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth." Anyway, I'm hoping that Gov Perry's appearance with Stringer and IHOP was something that he was hesitantly forcing himself to do, and his primary concern was to try to Spiritually communicate with the tens of thousands that were there and/or the hundreds of thousands that were watching it on TV. It deeply saddens me the lack of TRUE Christians we see either in, or running for, various political offices. My apologies for carrying on so long. Mr Howse, God bless, stay strong, and don't let up one iota. Your Brother in Christ, William Calderon

Kansas Gov. Brownback is an apostate Protestant turned Roman Catholic. His prayers do not get far.
