God's Perfect Will
Posted On: 10/06/09 12:26:52 PM

According to God's perfect will all of these things must come to pass. He even raised Pharoah for a particular time in the life of His chosen people. But anyone who walks away from God is leaving His perfect will and entering His permissive will- a very bad place to be. America's rejection of Christ and outright rebellion has produced the problems we face today in this country- that's no mystery. But getting America back on track should be every born-again Christians' goal. Shame on preachers and teachers for sugar coating the Truth and misleading people- their punishment will be great! Shame on all those who accept and support it instead of reading God's word and praying for discernment. I appreciate the efforts of Worldview Weekend and organizations alike in bringing things into godly perspective. Thank you!

What security?
Posted On: 10/04/09 11:11:04 AM

The only real security we can ever have in this world is the security that comes from surrendering to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. No nation or language in the world can expect to receive blanket security coverage. God has given Satan the power to eventually overcome all in the world, including saints, in a physical, worldly way; but the saints in Jesus Christ will not be overcome spiritually. (Revelation 13:7; 11:7). We, as mortal human beings in the flesh, cannot stop this satanic process, but we CAN identify who are Satan's minions, and see what they are doing; then we can at least not participate with them. God blesses and protects us according to HIS Will; not our will. So we must get our will in line with His. False preaching is part of the evil Babylonian system to which God says: "Come out of her!" FATHERHOOD

Dear friend Dan, I did not see where the author preached nationalism at all. He simply said that the preaching of lies from our pulpits is more dangerous than any other enemy. A father who desires safety for his children, including national security, is not necessarily promoting nationalism. Does not the Lord say, that any father who does not provide for his family, is worse than an infidel. What good is food and clothes to a child that is being murdered. What good, if a child has the whole world, and loses his own soul. To desire a secure place to teach your children is not nationalism, but being a good father. Grace to you. - Lou Newton

How Pathetic Preaching Damages National Security
Posted On: 10/01/09 10:27:35 PM

This is the most dynamic article I have read about the coward preachers we have in our Nation. They are afraid to speak the TRUTH, and call sin sin. No wonder we have a Nation going to hell thinking they are saved. If only the CHURCH would take a stand and repent and call out to GOD our FATHER, HE would forgive us and heal our Land. Then we could be a witness to the Muslims, and they would want our Savior and plead HIS BLOOD on them. Their only hope of salvation.

Feel good Preachers

We can attribute a lot of our problem to the water down and feel good preaching that has been going on for the 50 or so years. Preachers don't preach on sin and the consciences (hell). I know it started in my generation. Now most preachers don't want to mention hell you might scare someone. They want tell teenagers the consciences of their actions or a husband that is living a double life. Afraid they will get mad and leave the church. I have talk to someone that attends a large church in Houston TX. They never hear other side of the coin. All about God's love but nothing about living a Godly life. We are headed for a reckoning.

ELCA's recent endorsementof gay preachers is more evidence of mainline churches failure to understand the real gospel.

USA has no claim to the blessing of God

While I still feel like this is the greatests country on earth, we can no longer claim the blessing and protection of God. As a nation, we have asked God out of our government, we have weak preaching from the majority of the Evangelical pulpits across the nation, and our erstwhile President has started turning his back on Israel. Our nation will surely be judged. "To whom much is given, much more is required." I'm praying for a revival, but I believe we're in the End Times.

If this country does not repent, NOW, we can surely expect the wrath of God in the near future.

Wake Up, Church
Posted On: 10/01/09 02:21:06 PM

Every American who calls himself Christian ought to read this commentary. It's time for the Church to examine itself. For true preachers of the Word to step up to the plate. For Christians warming the pews to instead warm their hearts with the cleansing, redeeming fire of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We must get off the fence, quit being "mesmerized" by a false gospel and take true account. When we have a president pandering to Islamic states and telling the world we're not a Christian nation, that should tell us the "state of the union." God have mercy, and send us a great Awakening. We need Your salvation now, more than ever before!

This blend of faith, nationalism, and not loving your enemies seems very un-Christian to me. Frankly, national security should be on the back-burner for Christians. -Dan Smith
