Personal Notes and Thoughts Written by Brannon Howse during President Obama's Speech on HealthCare to the U.S. Congress

September 9, 2009.

·       Obama says his plan will not include illegal immigrants but the 47 million he always declares as being uninsured includes illegal aliens. The President was booed when he said this and a congressman yelled, "You lie." Did you see the look on the face of Pelosi when this was going on?  

·       I think we can all agree the system needs to be reformed but we do not need the federal government taking over the system. That is not reform that is a revolution…it is a power-grab that puts the government in control of your life from cradle to grave. The National Center has just released a compilation of 100 stories of victims of government-run health care, "Shattered Lives: 100 Victims of Government Health Care" available for download at www.nationalcenter.org/ShatteredLives.html.

·       He says no death panels. What do you call paying doctors to talk with senior citizens about their end of life decisions? Why has his man Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who was appointed to two important government boards to assist in drafting and passing socialized medicine, declared that healthcare should be saved for people the State deems are productive human resources and that it should not be given to those "Who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens …An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia." What do you call that? 

·       Obama said, "No government bureaucrat will get between you and the care that you need." That is a flat out lie. That is exactly what will happen. Obama seems to be telling the left that he will not demand a 100% pubic option when he said, "The public option is only a means to that end, and we should remain open to other ideas that accomplish our ultimate goal.  And to my Republican friends, I say that rather than making wild claims about a government takeover of health care, we should work together to address any legitimate concerns you may have,"

Bloomberg news reported that in the early 2009 stimulus bill a new bureaucracy was created:

…the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and "guide" your doctor's decisions…Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effect. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost-effective standards set by the Federal Council. The Federal Council is modeled after a U.K board…This board approves or rejects treatments using a formula that divides the cost of treatment by the number of years the patient is likely to benefit. Treatments for young patients are more often approved than treatments for diseases that affect the elderly...

·       I think Obama is using the Hegelian Dialectic Process which I predicted week ago is what he was doing. Obama is saying we need to merge the ideas of the left and the right for a better third option or Third Way. I have predicted that if Obama could not get what he wanted then he would allow the left and right to fight it out and then offer the third option which makes both sides feel like they won something. In fact, Obama may have begun by wanting his plan but knowing that option C was his end game goal for now. Once he gets the option C that he is proposing, he will then start over with two views conflicting and then move again to a third option, allowing him to kick the can further down the road each time. Obama set up the conflict to bring the change just as Saul Alinksy calls for in Rules for Radicals. However, I think he will push to get 100% of what he wants but fall back on the third option.

·       Obama says he will not sign a bill that adds a dime to the deficit. That is not possible. He is lying again or will he ration healthcare to the elderly to have the billions needed to fund his plan?

·       As Obama said there are significant things to still work out. The devil is in the details. Notice a percentage of the room laughed at him…not with him.

·       Obama is all about fear and creating a crisis, collapsing the economy, destroying capitalism, and making things so bad that he can merge government with business in a capitalist-welfare state, also known as Fabian Socialism or Corporate Fascism.

·       Obama said people were peddling fear but about 20 minutes later he said:

Everyone in this room knows what will happen if we do nothing. Our deficit will grow. More families will go bankrupt. More businesses will close. More Americans will lose their coverage when they are sick and need it most. And more will die as a result. We know these things to be true.

Don't Panic Posted On: 09/19/09 11:02:56 AM Age 61, GA If we are solid Christians, we should not panic about what is happening in America. We deserve what is happening in many areas because we have not stood up to the sin in the past, and I know that God is NOT going to condon sin, never has, and never will. There are consequences to sin and we are reaping many of them. I believe that Obama is the king that many people wanted, as in Israel, God answered their prayer. Instead of Jesus being the King, he gave them over to their own desires and lust. I am not in favor of the health care bill in any way, shape, or form. I am a registered nurse, and it won't work. Many hospitals already treat people who can't pay, so who is pressuring Obama to put this bill through? The AMA, the pharmaceutical companies, medical supply companies, etc. Did these companies give Obama the support he needed to get elected and now it is time for paybacks. I have no doubt about this. The other side to this is that many will not go along with the health care package, and many will not be able to pay the penalty for not being able to afford the health care deemed necessary by the government. This will leave many sick and wanting. This, this will be the greatest hour for the church, because Jesus, who is always available, will heal those individuals seeking Him. Many will flock to the churches to be healed, many will be healed in hospitals by visiting christians, and many will be healed on the streets, restrurants, places of business, etc. So fellow Christians, get ready, the greatest show of God's power is about to explode. Trust Him for everything! Strengthen your faith, have NO FEAR-which is Satan's greatest weapon, and watch our Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, shine. Your sister in the Lord and in AWE of Him!! A nurse with a different view Posted On: 09/17/09 04:02:02 PM Age 46, SC First, I want to say that I am not a Republican nor a Democrat. I'm a Emergency Room Nurse who works in a small rural ED and we see about 43,000 patients a year. I love my job - I love taking care of people no matter who they are, that is the great commission that God gave me. I do have to make the comment that if the people of God had taken responsibility for the less fortunate of the world then governments wouldn't have to step up and provide insurance. In my county we have several churches who have over 1,000 members yet these churches give NOTHING to the free medical clinic. They provide NOTHING to the senior citizens in my community who have to choose between food and medicine. I support Obomas's health care plan because there hasn't been ANYTHING in the past 10 years even presented to help the health care situation. I pray that people of God will wake up - put forth some effort to understand what the problems are. I saw a woman the other day who works full time and goes to school full time - has hospitalizatoin insurance only. She's had a kidney stone 7 weeks because no urologist would see her without insurance, so she keeps coming to the ED for pain management. Can you imagine having a kidney stone for that long????? because no would would see you, where is the compassion that Jesus showed everyone (except the preachers and deacons in the church when he ran them out with his temper over what they'd done in the church)Give me some legitimate reason why we should help people who can't help themselves? why shouldn't we help illegial alliens who have nothing and who came here to have a better life? why can't we help our citizens to afford health care by giving more in our taxes??? I don't understand the rationale by excluding anyone -what would JESUS do???? THE REAL FACTS SHOW OBAMA WAS LYING Posted On: 09/16/09 03:52:48 PM Age 65, OH They had a fact checking group when Jesus spoke to the pharisees and that group said the pharisees were NOT lying. The trouble is that the pharisees ran that fact checking group. Who runs the so called fact checking groups today. Our whole media is NOT a news media at all. Our news media is no better then the Russian media was when the communists were in control. Sept 12th there was a taxpayer march on Washington to protest the bailouts and other government spending and giving us the bill; there was NO coverage of this event by NBC, CBS, or ABC. But if 100 people protested Bush they would cover that and call it news. The Republicans tried to amend the health care bill to EXCLUDE illegals and the democrats voted it down. IF the bill does not cover illegals, why vote down language that says just that. There could only be one reason that I can think of; they will cover illegals. Posted On: 09/15/09 10:41:11 PM Age 57, OK It is true that the current "reform" bills do not specifically say that they cover illegal aliens, but they also do not prohibit the coverage. Sine they are not prohibited, then it will be up to some bureaucrat, or the courts, to determine whether or not they are covered. It is my opinion, based on what I have seen in the past, that this will result in the coverage of the illelgals. The same logic will be true in regards to abortions. This will fund those also. Just pray for God to send his spirit of revival to our country, as that is all that can save it. Bill Joe Wilson is right! I could not get healthcare after being on COBRA for 18mos, so I am now in the Indiana pool- which is really ANTHEM Blue Cross blue shield who denied me while I was searching for insurance trying to get off COBRA!- crazy! The same company that denied me will cover me through the State. I agree reform needs to happen but not a government grab of my choice! Rationing will happen- I witnessed rationing under medicare with my 76 yr old mom as she was told that her Chemo treatmnt for brain cancer was being cut off because it cost too much. she was on Avastin- a very very common chemo drug but Medicare would no longer pay for it- Give me a break! This will happen more and more and more and not just to those that are 70+-With a govt option and them paying for your chemo- get in line and you better pray you are deemed an asset to the community or else your treatment will be denied. There may not be actual "death panels" but someone in the govt has to make the rules of treatment WHY IS HEALTH CARE COST SO HIGH Posted On: 09/10/09 12:41:27 PM Age 65, OH Why is our health care so high? Will government run health care be cheaper? This question be answered by looking at the post office and Social Security. Federal Express and UPS has much better service than the USPS. The government run SS is bankrupt and many will not get anything from it even after they have paid into it for years. The problem with heath care is that the people of this nation has forgotten their Creator. If a person would purchase a exotic car, who should he turn to for repairs. Would anyone know more about that car than the factory that made it. We should turn to the Manufacturer for our health as the people of this nation used to. When people turn from the truth of their Creator than they will tend to believe all lies. We see this in the smoking, alcohol consumption, drugs, and refined foods that people consume and cause so many health problems. Allow insurance companies to not pay for health problems that are self inflicted by smoking, alcohol overweight, and drugs and our health care cost would fall like a rock. If people are not held accountable for their actions, such as overeating and bad diet, then no government will be able to pay for all the health care. We can not afford the Obama plan, it will bring this government down. The cost of this plan is two fold; one trillion dollars AND taking away much of the health care of the elderly. He always tells a partial truth so he can later claim it was not a lie. The very next thing after the health care will be to make these ILLEGALS, legal. He wants to make all illegals in this nation legal by so called immigration reform and makes our laws null and void. Then the millions who are now illegal will then be legal and they will get health care and you will pay for it. As Brannon has said, the 47 million uninsured that Obama always quote does include all the illegals who are now in our land. It most accurately matches supply with demand, and thus keeps costs at real value. We need to return to the days when there was no health care insurance available. The insurance industry is a scam, as you seem to be finding out. If Jesus said it I'm right there with Him - but it seems most FactChecks I've looked at say Wilson was wrong on this.
