The false teachings among some prominent church leaders have no end nor does the race to unify all religions. My thanks to Mark Tooley of the Institute for Religion and Democracy, World Net Daily, and author Joel Richardson for some background here. Fasten your seat belt because now we have Christians observing Ramadan. This goes miles beyond Muslim-Christian dialogue, which is bad enough. This is actually giving respectability to those who killed 3,000 innocent Americans who are even more on our mind in this season of 9/11. Once again, I have to ask, where is the outrage?
Emergent Church leader Brian McLaren is fasting during the Islamic Ramadan but is he fasting so that Muslims would come to salvation in Jesus Christ alone? And Tooley asks, "Would McLaren organize a similar fast on behalf of persecuted Christians and other victims of radical Islam? Or would that be too culturally confrontational for the post-modern evangelical who has shunned his conservative past and prefers creating common ground that creates alliances for the Left?"
McLaren says on his blog: "Ramadan is the Muslim holy month of fasting for spiritual renewal and purification. It commemorates the month during which Muslims believe Mohammed received the Quran through divine revelation, and it calls Muslims to self-control, sacrificial generosity, and solidarity with the poor, diligent reading of the Quran and intensified prayer."
He continues, "But as Christians, we want to come close to our Muslim neighbors and to share this important part of life with them."
Here we go honoring Islam again, just as they did in 2007 and 2008 with "A Common Word Between Us and You." Today's bunch of short-on-discernment leaders now observing Ramadan prove my point: Slippery slopes go only one way -- down -- and never turn around. And please tell me as an evangelical, what is it we will learn from Islam?
McLaren states, "We, as Christians, humbly seek to join Muslims in this observance of Ramadan as a God-honoring expression of peace, fellowship, and neighborliness. Each of us will have at least one Muslim friend who will serve as our partner in the fast. These friends welcome us in the same spirit of peace, fellowship, and neighborliness." None of that counts for eternity, Brian.
It stretches credulity to watch the religious Left continue to forge unholy alliances with some who are sworn enemies of the gospel and who are burning down Christian villages around the world and cutting off the heads of other Christians. And they will continue to do the same until they hear and respond to the "good news" of Jesus Christ, which is not the purpose of the Christian Ramadan effort! Yet an underlying motive with all such efforts is to declare the God of Christianity and the god of Islam as the same. If you get nothing else, remember that when such words come out of the pulpit in your church and renounce it! Some are asking if we don't have a virtual endorsement of Islam by liberal Christianity today with a few evangelicals thrown in for good measure. Signers say, "Peaceful relations between Muslims and Christians stand as one of the central challenges of this century." If you hear one of them say this, challenge them with, "No, saving the lost while there is time is the central challenge and that won't happen by joining with Muslims during Ramadan." Author Joel Richardson, who has been on my radio program " Understanding the Times" on several occasions, asks the right question: "Is such an 'observance' actually tantamount to an endorsement of Islam?" As this is written, a young former Muslim girl named Rifqa has fled her home in America, going to another state, fearing the Islamic practice of "honor killing." Her parents, she fears, want to kill her for becoming a Christian. Will Brian McLaren and those following him in this outrage confront Muslim leaders about this? Does McLaren share the "common good" of honor killings? Of course he doesn't, but by keeping quiet, he doesn't improve this deplorable situation.
In McLaren's recent book, "Everything Must Change," he suggests that evangelicals must turn Left to be relevant and atone for past myopia. Many of us are grieved that churches have taken his advice, and the advice of other church leaders with skewed ideas or theology and have thus destroyed evangelicalism as we once knew it. But it's not just all about unity! McLaren believes that evangelical support for Israel is an obstacle to interfaith harmony. While largely unwilling to criticize radical Islam by name, he has condemned the "terrible, deadly, distorted, yet popular theologies associated with Christian Zionism that create bigotry and prejudice against Muslims." He urged Christian Zionists to bravely abandon their prejudice, just as white segregationists had to shed theirs 50 years ago. Mark Tooley concludes appropriately by saying, "McLaren's interfaith ritual just further evinces the Left's chronic misunderstanding that all cultural and international conflict can be remedied through apologies, folk songs, Western guilt, and flamboyant sentimentality." That "old-time religion" we once loved is evaporating because guys like Brian McLaren and his Emergent buddies have convinced people that "everything must change." The one-world religion is literally on the horizon. Look over a fence and you will see it approaching.

The World Trade Center disaster was a false flag attack by our own fascist government agencies for the purpose of giving a green light for the "War on Terror." We can argue over details, but assuredly three buildings were brought down by controlled demolition. One of those buildings, number 7, was never hit by a plane. Fingers were pointed at Osama bin Laden before any real investigation was conducted. Evidence was removed from the crime scene in New York as quickly as it was removed in Waco, TX. Since 911, we have been bombarded with all sorts of unconstitutional legislation stripping us of more and more of our liberties. Unfortunately, this is not the "end of the story." It will continue with many more trillions of dollars spent on unnecessary aggressive wars to benefit only the elite military industrial corporations and private bankers. George Cancilla

Dear friend, you say, "This is not some conspiracy theory, but a presentation of documented facts." I watched this video and a lot of the so called facts are very wrong and ridiculous. They say that a B52 bomber hit the Empire State Building in 1945. The 1st B52 did not fly until 1952. The building was hit with a WW2 bomber that weighed about 15 tons and was flying at less than 200 miles/ hour. The plane hit the building at the 79th floor and there were only 7 floors above that floor. The 86th floor is the top floor except for the tower which has it whole weight on the core of the building. The WTC was hit by 767s that weigh about 200 tons and the one was flying at almost 500 miles/hour. In calculating the energy with which the WTC was hit you square the velocity and multiple that time s the mass. The WTC was hit with 50 times more energy than the Empire state building. The WTC also had much more building mass on top of the wall that was hit. The ESB is tapered on the top and the top is much smaller than the bottom. The WTC is the same size all the way to the top. The WTC is a much more massive building and there many times more mass on the wall that had a hole in it. Also the WW2 bomber did NOT go all the way into the ESB. Half of the B25 was left sticking out of the ESB. The 767 went all the way into the WTC. It would be like saying one man was shot with a BB gun and the other was shot with a cannon; and then claim something is fishy because the one shot with the BB gun did not die while the one shot with the cannon did die. 911 "truthers" scare me almost as much as radical Islamists. Read something reliable other than internet "articles." There are some legitimate questions about a few minor issues- but AlQaeda operatives planned and flew the planes - end of story.

Are you saying that the thousands of people in New York who saw, with their own eyes, those two planes fly into the two towers are wrong. Are you also saying that the witnesses that saw the Muslim men get on those two planes were also wrong. Are all the photos of these Muslim men getting on the planes also false. Did the people on the plane that was headed for the capital lie about the Muslim men that had taken over their plane and killed some of the stewards on the plane. Were they telling lies, as their last act before they all died. They all said these Muslim men were threating to kill them all. The Muslim men then rushed the pilot and copilot and caused the death of all aboard. Were all these people telling lies. Osama himself made a public statement admitting that these Muslim men were his soldiers and they brought down the towers and killed all those people. Our government has gone wild and does not follow the Constitution and we should vote all who serve in the congress out. But to believe what you are saying is like saying that we did not really land on the moon in 1969, and the government is hiding aliens in New Mexico. There was a giant explosion in the towers in 1993 caused by Muslims also; there could be all kinds of traces of explosive residue from that explosion. I seen the planes fly into the two towers and said then, before they fell, that they would fall. No steel can withstand that kind of heat and retain its full strength. The hotter steel gets the weaker it becomes. I said then that the tower that was hit last, but hit lower would fall first. This was true because there was more weight on that damaged section of the building and it failed sooner. Our nation has enemies within and we are also surrounded by enemies. Dear friend, thanks for the kind reply. God has two kinds of children. Those that humble themselves and call Him Father as they give their life to Him and those children that rebel and become slaves to Satan. But all men are His creation so are His children. All men were once slaves of Satan but some become aware by grace that serving Satan is not profitable and repent. Those that repent and give their life to The Lord Jesus and call Him Father. If Jesus is now their Father then He always was their Father, for Fatherhood is not temporary. God is the Father of all, it is that most do not recognize His Fatherhood. Those that call Satan father are believing a lie. For Satan is truly father to no one, he is just called father by those who are foolish. Jesus told the pharisees that God was not their Father but their father was Satan. Jesus was referring to the fact that the pharisees were slaves to Satan and did not serve The One and Only true God. But Jesus was their Creator and the One and Only true Father of all. A little research might help

The emergent church leadership should do some research on a few things before leaping into action. With our Lord God, every name given in scripture reveals Him and His Deity, eg YHVH the revealed name of the Lord of Heaven given to Moses in Exodus reveals Him as the Great I Am, amongst others names. Jesus and Christ reveals our Saviour and Anointed One. Maybe a research into the name "Allah" would reveal the ancient and powerful Moon God of earlier times. Why don't people recognise that the emblem and flag of Islam is the ancient title and symbol of their god. The last I saw it, it was a crescent moon, symbol from ancient Mestopotamia for moon worship

Lou, While most of what you are saying is true, Please explore God's Word in HOW to become a 'child of God'. We are not all God's children... we are all created by Him. But we are "children of wrath" before becoming His 'children'. Please look into His Word and do a study on this.

Certainly Muslims are deceived, and we should not celebrate a lie, but they were not responsible for 9/11. Now I know this may be hard for some to believe, but consider the fact that nanothermite was found in the rubble. Nanothermite is a very highly sophisticated technology, and would have required several weeks to load it into the buildings for demolition. If you really want to know what's going on, youtube search "loose change". This is not some conspiracy theory, but a presentation of documented facts.
