The Saints Raptured
Posted On: 01/13/12 06:38:11 AM Age 0, VA
I believe that what someone said in an earlier post, about the Saints not being Raptured before the Tribulation, is very incorrect. I do understand, however, that this is a new way of thinking of a lot of Christians and preachers. Unfortunately, in the Bible, there are also references to many, many people coming to Christ and evangelizing. These are the Saints referred to in Revelations. God has proven His Mercy and Love for His people down throughout history, and every story of evil people destroyed by the Lord has Him rescuing the righteous, BEFORE the punishment of these people, Noah and Lot's family being the most major of these. There are also verses declaring that we will be taken out of the world in a 'twinkling of an eye' and there will be 'two men working in a field, one will be left and the other taken'.

God has said he would destroy Babylon and it would be desolte forever
Posted On: 08/10/11 09:22:13 PM Age 0, OH
Saddam Hussein started to rebuild Babylon and how did God reward him for it. Where is Saddam now. God stopped the rebuilding, did He not. Are not all of God's statements in the Holy Scriptures true. Look at Jeremiah 25:12 "But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt," declares the LORD, "AND I WILL MAKE IT DESOLATE FOREVER".- Desolate means "laid waste" and "not lived in". We all know what forever means don't we. - We should be aware that there are three "Babylons" in the scripture. There is 1st of all, the city Babylon that you are speaking of. 2nd there is the current political power of the world that everyone flocks to at the time. Peter calls Rome, "Babylon" in the scriptures in this way. 3rd there is "Babylon the Great". Everyone knows that there are many Alexanders but only one "Alexander The Great". There were many Babylons but only one "Babylon The Great". So the world will continue to have a Babylon in the world. But it will not be the city in Iraq for God has said that "I WILL MAKE IT DESOLATE FOREVER". In The Revelation, it is the destruction of Babylon The Great that is told about, and any simple student of history should know that "Babylon the Great" is NOT the old city of Babylon in Iraq. For God Almighty has declared, in Jer 25:13 "I WILL MAKE IT DESOLATE FOREVER". Lou Ne

My Sunday school teacher who is a very knowledgeable man proved to me in class today what I already believed, that the power and then destruction of the original babylon now being rebuilt is for the endtime and God will soon prove it to the whole world. Shirley 67

Feminists and their fantastical lies
Posted On: 05/30/10 08:57:02 PM Age 22, NY
"Look at our corrupt culture, look at the greed, gluttony, the exploitation, the slaves, the exploitation of the Earth and all creatures, the patriarchal rule that exploits women..." You can take your gynocentrism and shove it where the sun don't shine, feminist woman. You are speaking lies, simple as. The core lie in your post is that we live in a "Patriarchal Society(TM)" (as if that were a bad thing to begin with). Actually, it's pretty damn obvious that we live in a matriarchal society. Why is it that only feminists like you determine the political discourse? Why is it that the female perspective is always amplified and the male perspective always silenced? The answer is simple: matriarchal society. And don't pull that "how many women are in Congress" crap on me. It's quite obvious that it's feminism that's driving the government's agenda. Men (for the most part) are implementing that agenda, wow, big deal. Is the substantive content of the agenda not more important? It is to me, maybe not to lying feminist women like you. Saying "we've a male-majority congress, therefore we've a patriarchy" is like saying "victorian england was ruled by woman, therefore it was matriarchal". An utter joke of an argument, as we are to expect from feminist women, who quite frankly aren't capable of anything better, and whose forte is lies.

Babylon "the great"?
Posted On: 09/13/09 05:37:21 PM Age 22, CA
Obama/Hussein, all going against a bible prophecy...How does the bible contradict itself? IT DOESN'T!!! on one side you have God himself cursing the land of ancient Babylon and saying that it will never be inhabited, and on the other side talks about a "Babylon the great" which will be powerful in the last days...Acting as a Harlot Making Politically involved, Economically wealthy, and Teaching False Teachings. Its obvious its talking about two different Babylons one which is symbolic, the other one is in our history books...I mean are we going to take all the words in Apocalypse/Revelation, literally? then I wonder who the king of the North is...I dont think Obama, or any person in the presidency or in any government OR even the Ministers they consulted before giving out cash for this cause, read the scriptures.

PATRIARCHAL RULE IS FROM GOD
Posted On: 03/24/09 01:14:27 PM Age 65, OH
Dear friend, you are correct that this nation is now Babylon and it falls in a period of "one hour". But you are wrong about "PATRIARCHAL RULE" being from Babylon and exploiting women. Patriarchal rule is from God and not Babylon. Look in the Book in Gen 3:"16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and HE WILL RULE OVER YOU." - This is God Almighty who is speaking and this is even more than a command, for it is just stating the way it will be. Every attempt of man or women to escape this prophecy of God will put them under a even worse curse. The patriarchal rule that God put into effect was not for the harm of women but for their good. Eve was the one who was deceived by Satan and Adam was deceived by Eve. It is not rocket science to see that because of this that women should not be the leader or both would fall as they already did. So God put Adam who was not fooled by Satan as the ruler. For if women were the rulers they would be fooled by Satan and then also lead the man astray. Patriarchal rule is not to exploit women but for their own protection. Men are to lay down their lives for their women to protect them, just as The Lord Jesus laid down His life for His church. - It was in the Garden that The Lord Jesus also endorsed "capitalism". For The Lord said, "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; - Notice that men are to eat from their own toil and not the toil of others. They are to eat by the sweat of their brow and not welfare. So man is to work for his own food and property and not take the food and property of others, THAT IS CAPITALISM. Greed is not capitalism and God never endorses greed, and we are told to help others who get sick or hurt. But God is against socialism also. Once a man works for his own food it is for him and his family not for others who will not work. - Lou Newton

Babylon IS already rebuilt
Posted On: 03/21/09 05:31:20 PM Age 21, CANADA
Babylon the city was destroyed, but the spirit and being of Babylon lives on inside each and every one of us. Look at our corrupt culture, look at the greed, gluttony, the exploitation, the slaves, the exploitation of the Earth and all creatures, the patriarchal rule that exploits women... Truly we are living in Babylon. The lifestyle of Mesopotamia was adopted by the Greeks and Romans, who later conquered Europe and Britain, who then spread their capitalist colonial devastation onto North + South America and the rest of the world. New Babylon, some call it. This is the Babylon that will be destroyed, never to rise again. We are living in that evil world that Satan has a firm grip on. But we must have hope in ourselves and in God that God will give us the strength to reject our ways of life, and destroy the New Babylon that all of us are so very strongly attached to.

DARIUS THE MEDE CONQUERED BABYLON
Posted On: 03/15/09 07:18:37 PM Age 65, OH
Dear friend, you say,"You will notice the passage does mention the Medes but does not mention the Persians and yet the Medes play the minor role in the fall of Babylon. Furthermore, this passage describes a destruction of the city by the Medes.- How could the Medes have played a minor role when the King who overthrew Babylon was Darius the Mede as Daniel said. The Medes and Persians were both Indo-European tribes and their languages were both Idno-European and they could probably understand one another. They both had the same religion. The Babylonians were Semitic people and had a far different language and religion. - Lou Newton

ISAIAH AND JEREMIAH SPEAK OF THE ORIGINAL BABYLON
Posted On: 03/12/09 08:30:18 AM Age 65, OH
Dear friend, it is written in proverbs that all wisdom starts with fearing God and if we fear God we will humble ourselves before Him. Your humility before God brings you wisdom. After I had written these posts, the fear came over me, what if I am wrong. So I repented before The Lord Jesus and asked Him to correct me if I was wrong in these posts. I would rather He humiliate me than write lies. I asked Him for mercy and to show me some sign if I had been led by His Holy Spirit or my own flesh. As I lay on my bed later that night and thinking of other things a flash of revelation from the Lord came to me. Jeremiah and Isaiah both write that Babylon will be destroyed and also that it will never be inhabited again. But some say that the first destruction is not the one that God is referring to; but that Babylon will be rebuilt AND THEN it will be destroyed never to be inhabited again. But what does God say WHY Babylon will be destroyed and never rebuilt again. God says Babylon will be destroyed BECAUSE it destroyed Jerusalem and God's Temple without mercy and with too much zeal. Which Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple; The original Babylon that was destroyed and has been uninhabited for 2200 years or the second one that these men claim will be rebuilt. It was the original Babylon that destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. So the judgment of God from Jeremiah and Isaiah are about the original Babylon and not about some rebuilt Babylon. Babylon has been destroyed by the judgment of God for destroying Jerusalem and God's Temple and it will NEVER BE INHABITED AGAIN FOREVER. Do these men claim that this rebuilt Babylon will destroy Jerusalem and God's temple again, that would seem a really foolish claim. Lou Newton

THE BEAST GIVEN POWER TO CONQUER THE SAINTS
Posted On: 03/05/09 03:17:45 PM Age 65, OH
Professing Christians who believe that the rapture will take them away BEFORE the great tribulation have been led to this conclusion because it fits their doctrine. Also some others are confused because of the Babylon the Great being mentioned in The Revelation. But This is also in the Revelation about the beast that comes out of the sea of humanity. Rev13: 5The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. 6He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7HE WAS GIVEN POWER TO MAKE WAR AGAINST THE SAINTS AND TO CONQUER THEM. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. - So the saints are still on the earth and the scripture tells us that the beast was given power to conquer them.
