READER FEEDBACK
False teachers

I am by no means "perfect" dont claim to be, however there are people who do claim to be. Are they followers of God? NO . Well does that mean the rest of us lovely people have a right to persecute them or any body for any reason? NO .We are in trouble, I think any body looking around today, can realize this. What did God tell us to do then? To try to keep his comandments, read his word, and for HIS sake LOVE, or try to LOVE your brothers as your neighbors. I have some real issues that caused me much pain, with some people, but I love GOD and because He told me I have to try to forgive I will ask His help with that, cause its bigger than me. I trust His word he is not a liar or a gossip and when our period of tribulation is over, he will return. I want to be in that harvest, I will pray for GOD to remove the hatred and anger. He said there would be false teachers and miracles in revelations, BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TRUST AND BELIEVE, BE NOT TRICKED INTO SIN BY ATTACKING THESE PEOPLE. WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES, PRAY,PRAY,PRAY. DECEPTION,DELIVERENCE,DEVIL. DO NOT ENGAGE IN FIGHT,YOU CAN NOT WIN. GOD IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN WIN THAT BATTLE, BE COMFORTED HE WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS. SPEAK ONLY HIS WORD. BELOVED YOU ARE MINE. The words of Jesus Christ lsand

Who is this person? 62 Fl brought up this name as a person (preacher) who practically beat people up. Hmmmm! Sounds like he should have been arrested. I wonder why the police don't arrest these charlitans? If they went right up on the stage and cuffed them, what's the crowd going to do, beat them up. Everybody is beating people up. Man, if I wanted to be kicked or beat up, I would have stayed with my first husband. AND, we don't say "SHUT UP" to the brother, Sir. Maybe you should meet my X. Brenda
Just remember

Satan knows the bible just as well as God does and man is fallible to fail to see the difference.

Bentley is a fake and you are correct, Christ never punched, kicked, or used any violence to heal.
Uh?

Uh yeah, did Bentley punch you too?
Say What?

Christ Jesus does NOT promote violence. Not one time when Jesus healed did He use pain to do so. Todd Bentley is a fake and needs to be exposed far and wide. Read your bible as it is the only source of truth and not from someone like Bentley.
This is a disgrace

This is a sign that God gave us to be aware of false teachers and prophets. Todd Bentley needs to be charged with assualt and/or battery and exposed for all to see.
You have provided very good examples...

You have done a Berean's job in searching the scripture. Keep up the good work. Acts 17:11 - Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, EXAMINING the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. Christians used to study scripture diligently as the example of Acts 17:10-12 provides but today many people who call themselves Christian have settled on faulty emotionalism over diligent study of scripture. Any experience should be put to the full test of scripture. As someone already mentioned, it was Satan not God who struck Job with illness and calamity. God was and in many cases still is restraining Satan. Satan is so deceptive that he CAN remove his curses and wicked influences if it furthers his agenda to oppose God and destroy mankind. Thankfully we know Satan will fail in the end. Even so, we must continue to follow the example of the Bereans to study diligently and stand on the truth of the Holy scripture not OUR deceitful "feelings" or lying emotional sentimentality. Personal "experience" of any kind does not trump the Word of God.
Amen to that...

The irony for many Pentecostalists is that they compound the problem by never being willing to accept there IS a problem. So many insist that one errant leader after another healed by doing this, that or the other, but as you say, few do it as Jesus did which is the key. He healed with a touch that was probably so light the person barely felt it, but they still felt the Power behind it and their healing was full, complete and instantaneous. Since I first started watching the Toronto Blessing thing way back in the early 2000s until now, all I have witnessed are supernatural events that (to me at least) look so utterly occultic I wouldn't even spend time watching them and I just thought if any non Christian was looking at these people thinking this is what Christianity is about, they'd run a mile (if they were wise!). Healing is only a part of the Gospel message, but once again we see the hypercharismatics focussing on it to the exclusion of everything else, esp SALVATION - the one thing at the core of our faith, and without which there can never be true healing. Jesus often stated it was faith that had healed people, and I believe that that was faith in HIM and not just what they figured they could get out of Him. And like all before it, this "revival" will equally run its course until they figure out another heresy to run after in their apostate competition.
Thanks

Hi Thomas You're right - the Elim are causing a stir here in all the wrong directions with many interviews and other media outlets making their experiences seem more legit to those who may not otherwise have fallen for them. But I'm fine thanks - in a solid (as yet anyway) Methodist Church in E. Belfast so far untouched by these heresies to any major degree, although the local Pentecostal Church that "burnt" me are well into it all! Romayne (BlessedbyHim@ntlworld.com).
