APPARENTLY "GOD" ISN'T INTERESTED IN THE CHURCH HEARING ABOUT JESUS ANY MORE. TODD BENTLEY CLAIMS THAT GOD WANTS PEOPLE TO BELIEVE IN THE ANGEL NAMED "WINDS OF CHANGE" THAT SUPPOSEDLY VISITED BENTLEY AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LAKELAND "REVIVAL".

READER FEEDBACK

I did attend

I went to Lakeland, and I do think that God was there. I think He shows up anytime people are hungry for Him. That does not mean that He supports the character of the ministry involved! One of the most disgusting things I have ever witnessed happened in Lakeland. Todd spent more time talking about the offering than he did about Jesus, and then he said this, "sometimes, you have to sow a seed to receive your miracle". What blatant manipulation of people in desperate need! And I won't even talk about his un-Biblical teaching.

Visitation?

This whole thing reminds me of Peretti's book/dvd "The Visitation" I don't believe for a moment that this 'movement' is of God.

As to discernment, please READ the teachings on the fresh fire website, especially the one about the 7 heavens. Where is that in the BIBLE? Also please read about the Joel's Army sign-up for the Church. Joel's army of locusts is a JUDGMENT by GOD against Israel is unbelief and then GOD destroys the locusts. This is a parallel passage to the locusts in Revelation 9 during the Tribulation and clearly of demonic origen. How can this be the Church of Jesus Christ?. We are so ignorant of the BIBLE that these false teachings can lure many into error. Jesus warned over and over about false prophets and false miracles to DECEIVE. People are precious and are truly HUNGRY for GOD and for His PRESENCE. True revivals are always marked by TRUE REPENTENCE from SIN and a desire for HOLINESS! Those are the themes that will get me to attend!!

If Seeing is Believing...

I am thankful that I've not had to travel halfway across the U.S. to see what this revival is all about. In his own words, Todd says that God told him to kick a woman in the face. Holy Spirit inspired, my foot! The man should be arrested for assault! He is operating in a spirit of rebellion. And this is not criticism. It's Truth.

It's not about the experience

look up for our redemption draw nigh. I believe god did tell him to stop preaching about Jesus.... The god of this world, Satan himself, spoke to this guy and has him woefully decieved. The entire BIBLE is about JESUS, and EVERYONE KNOWS that the Bible IS the WORD OF GOD, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, so why would God all of a sudden stop what He has been saying since before time began? This man will stand before the Jesus and say, "Didn't I prophecy in Your Name, heal the sick in Your Name?"

After telling the group that an angel has told him that it isn’t all about Christ and that he needs to expound the attributes of the supernatural, Todd then says that the “world is looking for something new” and asks the question “how many of you think we need something new?” The Scriptures tell us to Preach Christ and Him crucified, raised from the dead on the third day, ascended to Heaven and sitting at the right hand of God. Paul witnessed the risen Christ, believed, was saved by the Grace of God and preached this message, Stephen, believed, was saved by the Grace of God, preached this message and just prior to his martyrdom saw Christ at the right hand of God. The Good News has been preached for over 1,950 years so it isn’t new it doesn’t need to be. I would ask the question…how much more supernatural does one need? I think Todd is looking for the Sci-Fi Channel type of supernatural and if folks want something new…how about Christ who makes all things new again? Tom

FALSE PROPHETS
Posted On: 06/20/08 06:41:00 PM Age 64, OH
No where in scripture are we told to trust in angels or the supernatural. We are told to trust in Jesus and nothing but Jesus. I do not have to travel to Florida or anywhere else to know a fraud. Jesus has showed us in the scriptures how to tell a fraud. This man is a false prophet. Lou

lack of understanding and discernment of revival

The comment about "Emma" was that Todd said that an angel appeared nammed Emma and looked to him as in the feminine form. Nowhere did he say that the angel was a female, and we know that the bible says "Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares". So is it possible for angels to appear to people and does that scripture say any thing about gender? I think that some people are so afraid of things that are spiritual that they throw out the baby with the bath water. I attended the florida revival for myself and I will say that I saw with my own eyes were people who were trully bound by wheelchairs who were healed. I also saw many who were not. One thing I will say is that there is no denying that the prescence of God is in the lakeland revival. Before we criticize one another maybe those who do it should go and see for themselves, instead of watching things being taken out of context. Todd does give a full explanation of what is happening and his beliefs including angels on his website. www.freshfire.ca

Angel of change

The article is referring to what Todd Bentley has said on his website and in interviews (mainline media included) about Emma his angel. This article is picking up on that and is more then likely intended for those who have heard about this aspect of his "ministry" before since it;s pretty well common knowledge at this point. You can google his website and read all about it in his own words if you are still interested... however; there are much better books to read that explain and refute Mr. Bentley's position. I can think of 66 off the top of my head.

Revival - God Have Mercy

God have mercy on us! I pray against the spirit behind this man and movement. It is sinister and evil.
