Worldview Matters with Brannon Howse
Topic One: Gubernatorial candidate in Colorado is breath of fresh air. Dan Maes is actually aware of the dangers of sustainable development, the United Nations radical agenda and the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives. This radio broadcast has warned our audience about ICLEI and how more than 600 communities in America are part of this radical, freedom robbing agenda. After more than two years we still have not heard from Sarah Palin or other leading republican, presidential candidates the kind of in-depth understanding of the global system that is being put in place over top of American as was expressed by candidate Dan Maes in this article in the Denver Post. Topic Two: The Senate Banking Committee passed the Livable Communities Act this week which will create the Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities within the Department of Housing and Urban Development. If this bill becomes law, the Obama Administration will be give out $4 billion dollars in neighborhood planning grants to fund the radical United Nation's agenda of sustainable development. Just last week President Obama signed an Executive Order expanding federal power to implement Agenda 21, the radical, sustainable development plan that came out of the United Nation's Earth Summit in 1992. Topic Three: Austin Chamber of Commerce to host luncheon entitled "Human Capital Strategies for Better Schools." In the early nineties Brannon was warning about the agenda that views America's children as human resource. In one Minnesota education plan a few years ago, parents were called the suppliers of the raw material and the customer was declared to be the business community. The Chamber of Commerce has for years pushed socialist ideas like School-to Work and now they want to complain about Obama's socialist healthcare scheme? Brannon explains why he thinks Christian business owners should save their money and abandon what he thinks is a worthless organization. Topic Four: We take your calls.

Running to Win with Dr. Erwin Lutzer
For some in America, it’s perfectly acceptable to pursue money. Sports and media figures exemplify the accumulation of material wealth. But money can weigh us down in the race of life. Worse, it can turn our hearts away from God and toward pursuing even more money and the things it buys. God has some words to say to the rich, words you’ll hear on today’s Running to Win.

Ken Klukowski is Director of the Center for Religious Liberty, at the Family Research Council. He recently co-authored, with FRC's Senior Fellow for Family Empowerment, Ken Blackwell, The Blueprint: Obama's Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build an Imperial Presidency. Brad Dacus is President of the Pacific Justice Institute, and with that organization is on the front lines on faith and freedom issues in California. Each guest commented on the ruling on Wednesday, August 4, by United States District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker, who concluded “Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license.” The judge, by the way, is an openly-practicing homosexual in San Francisco. While homosexuals in California took to the streets to celebrate, and went to online blogs to gloat in their victory, and to sneer at "right wing fundamental Christians", both guests commented that the majority of citizens still support traditional marriage. Neither was surprised at the decision, given the "sexual orientation" of this judge, but were cautiously optimistic that the ruling would be overturned at a higher lever--most likely at the U.S. Supreme Court. It was not the first time that a judge ruled against the will of the people on this issue in California, but the second referendum affirming the definition of marriage as being only between one man and one woman as a state constitutional amendment, had been upheld by the California Supreme Court, only to be turned down by this federal judge. In addition to prayer, and the continuing defense of Proposition Eight in the courts, the legal recourse of impeachment is also available to reign in judges who seem to be able to act without any accountability.

Running to Win with Dr. Erwin Lutzer
You can tell where a Christian’s values lie by examining his or her giving. One hallmark of a true believer is generosity. It’s a touchy subject, but we’re not afraid to hit the nail on the head as we focus on another of the spiritual disciplines that strengthen us in the race of life. Today we look at what God wants you to do with the resources He has provided.

Randy Sharp is is director of special projects for American Family Association. Several weeks ago AFA became aware that the website of the department store, Sears, has been promoting hundreds of posters, many of which have full nudity, including suggestive poses. The posters are being promoted by an outside supplier, but Sears has allowed them to be made available on their website to anyone who wishes to search for them. AFA has tried to contact Sears numerous times since then, to ask them to remove such material from a store that in the past has been known as “family friendly”, but with no response from the company. On August 3, the American Family Association went public with the information. Despite the increased publicity, Sears has yet to respond directly to AFA, but has stated online that they have removed the offending images from their website. Nevertheless, they are still posted there. Randy urged people to check the AFA website at http://afa.net/, where the information is linked under “Hot Topics”, and then to contact Sears to express their concerns, and their intentions about patronizing Sears as long as this material is featured on their website. The second portion of the program included information on several topics, including: --The Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, and new information that indicates she falsified evidence in order to support her conclusions --Information that could harm the efforts of those seeking to overturn the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on homosexuals, as has been revealed that Army Private Bradley Manning, who was arrested for allegedly leaking classified information to WikiLeaks.org about military activities in Afghanistan, is a homosexual activist who nevertheless was allowed to remain in the army, and who was upset over the delay in changing that policy, even as he was considering a sex change operation. --Comments about the pending California court decision on Proposition Eight, which will rule on whether the referendum approved overwhelmingly by California citizens, which defined marriage exclusively as being between one man and one woman, is in fact constitutional. NOTE: Following the live broadcast of Crosstalk, a federal judge in California ruled that California's Proposition 8 — which recognizes only man-woman marriages in the state — is unconstitutional.

Running to Win with Dr. Erwin Lutzer
At times during the race of life, the winds of change swirl, almost blowing us off the track. We need stability. Meditation in the word of God provides that still point in a turning world. Teaching from the book of Joshua teaches us how meditation in the word of God can give us inner resources to face whatever comes our way. How still is your heart as you run your race?

Worldview Matters with Brannon Howse
Topic One: Brannon reads seven reasons NOT to send your kids to college by James Altucher of Daily Finance and then shares his own thoughts on this topic that he has kept to himself until now. Topic Two: Colleges and universities are businesses and are largely now a racket and complete rip-off. Numerous studies reveal that college graduates do not necessarily make more money than the individual who does not go to college. Reality is the student who does not go to college but invests his time and resources into a business instead of tuition can make hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars more in their lifetime than a college graduate. In fact, in the bestselling book "The Millionaire Next Door" that came out about 15 years ago, revealed then that the average millionaire in America was in a service oriented business like plumbing, roofing, sanitation, scrap metal etc. Of course the elite want to push you into college so they can brainwash more students and take your money in tuition and get you into debt. Topic Three: Colleges and universities have largely become one third house of ill repute, one third drug den and one third vomitorium. Topic Four: Little real education takes place at most universities as the agenda today is really not to teach facts, reason, and logic but postmodernism, humanism, socialism, and cultural Marxism. Kerby Andreson is correct when he wrote that Geology 101 is really Evolution 101, Philosophy 101 is really Atheism 101, and Sociology 101 is really Relative Situational Ethics 101. Topic Five: So, what should Christian families do if their students do not want to become a doctor or attorney that requires a college education? How can the family be a place to create entrepreneurs? How can families teach their children that work is rewarding and even fun? Topic Six: Why are so many college graduates not using their expensive diplomas? How can an entrepreneur zig and zag in an up and down economy where those stuck on a one career track have little options in a sour economy? Topic Seven: What Biblical virtues and principles make for a successful entrepreneur? Topic Eight: Should parents be considered bad parents if they do not pay for their child's college education? Topic Nine: Should a parent provide the startup capital for their child to start a business? Topic Ten: How is Obama using college as an entitlement so he can collapse the economy through the Cloward-Piven Strategy? Topic Eleven: We take your calls.
