True prophets of God get their message from God himself. False prophets draw their false messages from a variety of sources. In this message we learn how to discern those sources, and determine whether what you’re hearing is from God, or from somewhere else.

Run from Hell (Part 3)

Mike continues this miniseries titled "Run From Hell."  Like it or not, the Bible emphatically teaches that Hell is a place of literal and continual suffering. Did Jesus, Love Incarnate, teach that Hell was true? Is God in Hell? If so, how? Does ‘eternal’ mean conditional mortality? Sober truths that should lead to praise and evangelism. Unbelievers, repent before it is too late.

In ancient Israel, false prophets put lies about God into the minds of God’s people. The same is true in our day. They diminish His holiness, exaggerate their goodness, and hide their real motives. In this message we learn how to recognize them when you hear them.

Sam Rohrer is the president of the American Pastors Network and the Pennsylvania Pastors Network. This network has been identifying, equipping, educating and networking pastors and church members to stand in the gap for truth.

Sam began by describing the state of the church today as weak with silent pulpits. It's marked far more by apostasy and a leaving of the truth as opposed to a return to it. In other words, we are living in perilous days.

It's his sense that from a trajectory perspective, we are not peaking. There are remnant pastors and churches but the remnant is a minority. The great percentage of those in the pews and the pulpits today are not primarily concerned about obedience to the Word of God, preaching the truth and living it. It's more like 'going along to get along' and 'tickling ears'.

When Sam talks about a biblical worldview he uses 4 terms. First of all it's the understanding and belief that (1) there is God (not a god). (2) There was a creation. (3) There was a fall, precipitated by the devil, where sin entered the world. (4) There is redemption secured by Jesus Christ. Sam believes these are the four basic tenets of a biblical worldview.

The shocking news from George Barna looks like this: Only 4% of Millennials hold to the worldview that Sam described above. Sam believes God would describe our nation as having departed from the truth. When God looks down at that nation, like he did at Israel; when he'd given them everything and they walked away from God saying they didn't need God anymore, that's a nation in crisis. That's where we are.

We're also reminded of this in the history of our own nation. The founders said that our nation, based upon self-government, would not survive if people did not submit themselves to the 10 Commandments of God. So when we throw out God's law, prayer and our dependence upon God, our founders knew we could not continue. They knew that no one circumvents God's judgment and standard.

The proof comes by noticing how God dealt with Israel. When God blesses us and we live in security and we start to think we've done that by ourselves, at that point God will reject us like he rejected the inhabitants of the land he drove out before the Israelites.

Sam noted that when God turns a nation over, there's a steady decline into the depths of depravity and sin. This is often lead and marked by sexual immorality. This is where we are in America. We had knowledge of God, we've rejected it and God is saying that if we think we have a better way, we have to figure out how to make a go of it.

So why aren't shepherds speaking out and saying, 'Thus saith the Lord!'? Sam believes it's because of controversy and the concern that if they speak the truth, some will be offended. In that case they withhold the truth, the only thing that has the ability to change and heal lives.

In the midst of all this, Sam described how God still preserves his remnant. He sees God quickening that remnant. It's in the form of a common attitude between the older faithful and the younger faithful. They have a commitment to honoring God first, a great seriousness about fulfilling their duty as an ordained authority and they are wanting to assist each other. The older pastors aren't physically connecting with younger pastors because they don't operate in those circles but in their heads they have a concern. In their heart they see the need in that younger generation.

On the other side of the ledger are the younger pastors that Sam feels don't see themselves as needing the advice of older pastors. Yet a number of millennial pastors long and hunger for mentoring involvement by an older pastor who they can call to determine what to do in certain circumstances. This is biblical and God's model.

To solve this issue, the American Pastors Network has begun an initiative called, 'Bridging the Gap'. It's covers two primary areas: Generational and Racial. Get the details when you review this Crosstalk broadcast.

The Duty of Discernment part 10 - July 20, 2017

Today we will begin to discuss some of the common objections people will raise when we exercise Discernment and encourage others to do so. When we do this many people will take exception to our efforts and object. We will talk about these objections and answer them biblically.

(Program #1) Usama Dakdok reveals the dangers of interfaith dialogues by playing the audio of the interfaith dialogue between James White and Jihadi Yasir-Qadhi. Usama will start and stop the audio as he provides commentary and uses this as a opportunity to refute the misinformation with truth.

On today's edition of PTIB Jimmy DeYoung has two of his Broadcast Partners with very important reports on different issues. Dr Don DeYoung will discuss the "fly-by" of Jupiter by the spacecraft, Juno, and the significances of this scientific achievement, discussing how Creation is key to understanding the prophetic scenario for the end times. Jimmy, however, will discuss first, with Dr Rob Congdon, a European Union Update, with all the political activities and how they are setting the stage for Bible Prophecy to be fulfilled.

Guest: “John” works with a security company and he joins us to validate the topics we discussed yesterday involving nuclear weapons being brought into the U.S. by Islamic terror cells. Topic: John shares with us reports of how military grade weapons are being discovered in semi trucks that were loaded off of cargo ship containers. Many of these weapons are reportedly heading toward mosques. John gives us a report of a mosque in which authorities found hundreds of weapons. Topic: John and Brannon discuss the Club-K Container Missile System that is being advertised on YouTube. This missile system would be easily available to groups like ISIS that are making 4 to 5 million dollars a day through oil and drugs. President Obama greatly damaged our national security that allowed for Islamic groups to prepare America as the battlefield. Topic: John reveals the importance of families understanding how to respond if caught up in a terrorist attack.

On PTIB today Jimmy DeYoung will talk with Itamar Marcus, the Director of Palestinian Media Watch, a team of Israelis who monitor the Palestinian Media, so that they can actually tell us what the Palestinian leaders are saying to their own people. Jimmy and Itamar will discuss the Palestinians saying that UNESCO has given them the right to attack and kill the Jews; Palestinians have been killing Jews since the slaughter of Jews in Hebron, in 1929; and the Palestinian Media now calling for the Palestinian people to rise up and kill the Jews.

The Duty of Discernment part 9 - July 20, 2017

Today we will hear a clip from Joel Osteen in which he again denies that Jesus is the only way to be saved. This was from 2009, four years after his infamous interview with Larry King. We will also discuss his assertion that all people are inherently good.

Great deception took hold in ancient Israel, leading to idolatry and judgment. The same deceptions infect the thinking of today. The news is filled with the same destructive mindset that caused God to send Israel into Babylon.

Jim began this broadcast by quoting from 2 Timothy 3:1-5. This description is indicative of the very society we're living in today, and the participants are often young people. He presented numerous news stories from this year alone that prove the point. Stories included:

--A Green Bay, Wisconsin, middle school teacher announced her resignation after shocking claims that the school is a hostile environment. She indicated that students swear at teachers and use vile, crude and sexual language. One teacher was injured trying to break up a fight, there's inappropriate sexual contact among some students, fires have been started, weapons brought in, drugs being sold and used, truant students terrorize teachers and students as they roam the halls looking for fights, and much more.

--Police arrested 4 people in Nevada for a string of crimes including armed robbery. In custody was an 18 year old, a 19 year old and two 17 year old juveniles.

--Indiana could possibly have their youngest triple homicide suspect at 15 years of age.

--A flash mob of an estimated 500 teens, mostly between the ages of 12 and 17, jumped on cars, threw bottles and taunted police officers in Philadelphia. Police commanders decided not to arrest any of the teens for fear that the situation might escalate.

--3 Mississippi teens faced charges after a horrific sexual assault broadcast through Facebook.

--A teen flash mob in Oakland, California, lured a woman into a train seat and grabbed her phone. Then they began punching and kicking a 62 year old passenger who chased them and demanded that they return the device.

--Passengers on a commuter train were terrorized when a gang of up to 60 teens swarmed the train and began robbing and beating passengers.

This is just a sample of the stories that Jim presented for listener input, but before taking questions and comments, he asked the audience to consider the following: What has caused youth to turn on authority? Is there a way out of this? Is there hope? Find out how they responded when you review this startling Crosstalk program.

Today on PTIB Dave Dolan has a Middle East News Up-date for Jimmy DeYoung, and all listening. Jimmy and Dave will discuss the recent terror attack on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, at which time two Israeli Border Policemen and three Arab Israeli terrorists  were killed; the part that the UNESCO declaration, saying that there was no connection between the Jews and the Temple Mount, might have had in this terror attack; how most Israelis believe that all the land of Israel belongs to them; and how Hamas has only brought violence and destruction to the Gaza Strip.
