Revealing the Truth About Islam (#879)

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung has as his guest Itamar Marcus, the Director of Palestinian Media Watch. Itamar has just released a Special on the brainwashing that is going on among the Palestinian people, conducted by the Palestinian Authority. Jimmy and Itamar will discuss on the program how this "brainwashing' is working today; the Palestinians say a presence of Jewish people on any Islamic holy site is desecration; the PA is urging their people to defend these sites with all means possible, even death if necessary; in fact, the PA is calling for all Palestinians to come to the Al Aqsa Mosque and be ready for war.

Jesus is Yahweh
When you read the word, “LORD,” in the Old Testament, who do you think of? Do you think of anyone less than the Triune God? Yahweh is the personal name of the Triune God.

Jesus turned the world on its head when He stooped to wash the disciples’ feet. Superiors don’t serve inferiors, do they? In the kingdom of God, they do. Let’s go out and do what He did, meaning we must practice servant leadership.

Usama Dakdok is a native of Egypt and an expert on Islam.  He is Director of the Straightway of Grace ministry, and speaker on the “Revealing the Truth about Islam” broadcast.  Usama has translated the Quran word for word into English to make readers fully aware of the agenda of Islam.

An article quoting the President of Morocco claims that Islam is a religion of peace, and that Christians are mis-interpreting "Jihad".  He states that there is nothing in Islam to justify the

terrorism we see in the world today, as the Quran says "not to kill the innocent".

Usama pointed out that there are 26 verses in the Quran that require that Muslims perform Jihad against Christians and Jews, and all Muslim scholars agree that it means they must kill all people who will not become Muslim, until everyone on earth submits to Islam.

Statements in the Quran that say not to kill the innocent, were written as an instruction for Jews, not Muslims.  In fact Muslims are required to kill non-Muslims, or infidels, and also to kill any Muslim who leaves Islam.

John Kerry complains that the news media have too much coverage of terrorism, and it would be better if they left that subject alone.

Huma Abedin, a top adviser to Hillary Clinton, is a Muslim woman who has recently decided to divorce her husband because of unfaithfulness, even though the Quran permits Muslim men to have relations with other women, and does not permit wives to divorce their husbands.  But Huma and her family are devout Muslims,

and operate websites which promote Sharia. Should Hillary become President, Juma Abedin is a top candidate to be her Chief of Staff in the White House.

The White House has announced that their goal of accepting 10,000 Syrian Refugees has been met, and there are now proposals for 200,000 more such "refugees" to be permitted to come to the United States.  Usama says there is absolutely no serious"vetting" of these people, as they are simply asked if they are part of a terrorist organization like ISIS, and a simple "no" answer is considered sufficient to allow them to come in.  Many have no documentation whatsoever, and even if they did, documentation from birth certificates and university diplomas can be obtained very easily in many Muslim countries, if the purpose is to come to the United States to perform Jihad.

In fact, even Muslims who are citizens, have no allegiance except to Allah, who allows them to swear an oath of allegiance if they do not really mean it.  Thus the oath used to obtain American citizenship  means nothing to a Muslim.

Usama says that in his opinion, the United States is on the verge of extinction as a nation, destroyed from within because of the multiplied thousands of Muslims who are now--and who will be coming--to this country.  This is largely due to the policies of the Obama administration that Hillary has promised to continue.  Should the word come for an intifada in the United States, thousands of Muslims now in this country, many using weapons supplied by local mosques, would obey, and the claims of "peace" will be shown to be a sham.

A number of other current topics are also discussed on this program.

Do Not Hinder Them, part 26

We conclude the series on childhood conversion today. Perhaps this series has made you reconsider not your salvation, but rather when you were saved. Perhaps you realize that what you have been calling a rededication was actually a conversion. What to do? This can actually be a wonderful opportunity to be a powerful witness to others.

Revealing the Truth About Islam (#878)

Stand by for a Middle East News Up-date from Dave Dolan, who will be reporting to Jimmy DeYoung, host of Prophecy Today Intelligence Briefing. These two men will discuss the Iranian General who is forming an Iranian militia, the Shite Liberation Army", with the purpose of destroying the Jewish State of Israel; a poll in Israel that says the Jews fear the Palestinians; Israelis reject a Palestinian State; and the Mufti of Jerusalem says that every centimeter of Jerusalem is Islamic.

The Coloring Craze Crazies
Coloring outside the lines? Coloring as worship? Slinkies for worship? Barrel of Monkeys for worship?

We may appreciate those who serve, but few of us want to be servants. Let’s chart a new course–becoming like Christ, the ultimate Servant. Grab a towel and be prepared to serve as we encounter lesson number one in developing the heart of Jesus.

David Brown is pastor of the First Baptist Church of Oak Creek, WI. He holds a Masters Degree in Theology and PhD in History, specializing in the history of the English Bible.  He is also the President of Logos Communication Consortium, a research organization that produces a large variety of materials warning Christians of present dangers in our culture.

Since the late 1990’s the first Harry Potter book was released and immediately began to lure young and old alike.  There is a whole new generation being drawn into Harry Potter, with people of all ages being caught up in it.  There are even Harry Potter Legos for children ages 1-4, plus lures for toddlers, teens and adults.  More than 50 apps are available for smart phones.  Through the years many books were written followed by movie releases.  The 8th book was released in July, 2016, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” a play based on a story that J.K. Rowling helped write.  Not only are non-Christians being lured by the Harry Potter phenomena, but even Christians are being totally absorbed into its clutches.  Is this just harmless fantasy?

Pastor Brown issues a warning, because even after all these years, Harry Potter is luring young people into the exploration of witchcraft, sorcery and the occult.  He points out that each new book becomes “darker”, which means that it delves more and more into the demonic activities of the occult world.  He gives many examples of the kinds of depravity that are being depicted--and thus promoted--in these books and movies.  The author, J.K. Rowling, apparently has researched the occult extensively, as the occult aspects of the Harry Potter stories are accurate.  Rowling admits that two thirds of the content of these books come directly from the occult.  Potions, deadly curses, spells, divination, and communicating with the dead are just a few of the areas that are now being explored by Harry Potter fans around the world--many of them young children!

Many claim that it is just fiction, much like fairy tales, science fiction, or fantasy stories, and that at least it gets children reading.  But the question is not “are they reading”, but “what are they reading”.

As the program continues, the Harry Potter belief systems and doctrines are compared with Scripture, which warns believers to have no fellowship with the works of darkness.  Both the Old and New Testaments warn against demonic practices--and when people came to faith in Christ, they destroyed their occult books and paraphernalia.  In the New Testament, when demon-possessed people were confronted by Christ, and later by the Apostles, the demons were cast out, rescuing those people from such possession.

But Harry Potter fails the test of Scripture.  Instead of condemning that which is evil, Harry Potter, according to Pastor Brown, could serve as a primer for learning the occult.  While Christians can no longer be possessed by demons, there is are clear warnings to believers who try to include occult practices in their Christian life, to abstain from even the appearance of evil, and to give no place to the Devil.

Pastor Brown says that wrong is wrong, no matter how attractively it is packaged in cartoons, games, apps, books, movies, etc., and the only proper response for Christians is the same as that described in the Book of Acts, to destroy anything associated with it.

The guest has written a research booklet on Harry Potter, with nine principles on determining what is acceptable and what should be avoided.

Callers had questions not only on Harry Potter, but on other aspects of the occult such as Ouija Boards, Native American ceremonies, the Hunger Games, among others.

Do Not Hinder Them, part 25

So, when is the appropriate age to consider baptism? The Bible does not give us a specific age, but given the weight of the biblical evidence against baptizing children, I would argue for around age twenty. I know, I know - it sounds very high. But we will discuss today why I think baptizing anyone under age twenty should rarely be done.

THE CRITICAL TEXT
Chris continues his discussion of the new documentary, "Bridge to Babylon," this time exploring the indefensible arguments in favor of the Critical Text as somehow representing the inerrant Word of God.  By the admission of leading
scholars, the chief critical editions of the Greek text disagree more than 30% of the time, showing a variant rate that calls much of the New Testament into question.

Part Two on Burning Man. Today Brannon continues to explain the worldview behind Burning Man that is taking place now with over 65,000 people in the desert of Nevada. There are numerous other such festivals and events. We also hear from a father that has a daughter that has attended the Burning Man event in Nevada. Listen as this Christian father explains why this broadcast is an important resource for parents and family members to respond to their loved ones that are attending Burning Man or similar events.
