Series: With the Master on Our Knees (Vol.2)

Lesson: 08

Title: The Prayer of the 10 Lepers

Passage: Luke 17:11-19

Description: One of the biggest pitfalls in praying is thanking God after He answers our prayers. We can learn some valuable lessons as we not only consider the prayer of the 10 lepers, but the sad reality of mankind’s ungrateful heart.

The Bible calls for a revival of the old Roman Empire in Daniel 7. That is the prophecy that Jimmy DeYoung and Dr Rob Congdon will discuss on PTIB today. Rob and Jimmy will look at the European Union as, at least, the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire; that all the European States can trace their history back to the time of the Roman Empire; how the EU got it's start in 1957; and also an up-date on the EU today.

Many who run life’s race are tripped up by the conduct of believers around them, conduct they feel is inappropriate. How should we judge the behavior of others? Or, is it our business to judge at all?

Alex Newman is an international freelance journalist, educator and consultant. As a freelance journalist he writes for the New American. He is the co-author of the book, 'Crimes of the Educators'.

The United Nations was founded October 24, 1945. A look at the founding of the organization and a brief review of its history, were followed by an analysis of the organization's current make-up, which consists largely of countries that oppress minorities, often conducting or financing terrorism and jihad. The newly selected secretary general of the United Nations is Antonio Guterres of Portugal, who is proud of being a socialist. One of his latest roles was to orchestrate the massive move of hundreds of thousands of Muslims, dubbed 'refugees', to countries across Europe and the United States. The U.S., as a member of the U.N. Security Council, signed off on his selection despite his record. He is scheduled to assume the post January 1, 2017.

A look at the list of 'accomplishments' being hailed on this anniversary, shows that most have the effect of reducing national sovereignty, replacing it with international controls. Mr. Guterres has stated his top priorities as Secretary General will be more socialism around the world, more power for the U.N., more 'global governance', and more mass migration from the Third World to Western countries and 'gender equality'. In other words, more of the same extremism that already has the world on the brink.

The current U.S. administration has worked to transfer control from our nation to the U.N. in many ways, supporting liberal 'conventions' that strip parental rights, gun rights and other fundamental rights under our Constitution. Most recently, the administration pushed for—and succeeded—in transferring control of the Internet from an independent agency in the U.S. to a U.N. agency that will likely reflect the make-up of U.N. member nations.

ROME, RWANDA & GENOCIDE
Chris revisits the issue of the role of the Roman Church in the Rwanda genocide of 1994.   After years of denial, the Washington Post reports that Catholic bishops have now apologized for their role in the mass murder of
some 800,000 Tutsis.  The horrific events in Rwanda mirror those committed by Rome in the dark age, during the time of the Inquisition and the great massacres of the past.  In the aftermath, the guilty parties now offer
apologies and seek reconciliation -- yet the survivors of the genocide still fear that the same could happen again.

Hearing from Heaven part 3

Today we will discuss Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby and how it asserts that hearing God speak to you is a crucial part of the Christian life. I will also talk about Bill Hybels and his book The Power of a Whisper. Did you know that God is trying to speak to us through Bud Light beer cans? Bill Hybels seems to think so.

Program #34 Usama exposes the ELCA, document entitled My Neighbor is A Muslim. Usama explains that this document is promoting Chrislam. Usama separates facts from fiction.

As we run our daily race, there’s an unseen spirit world running as well. Demons try to subvert the purposes of God in the life of every believer. Our task is to discern the danger, and avoid opening the many doors that can lead us there.

There is continued controversy within the Roman Catholic Church. There are concerns about false theories of conscience and moral law. Cardinal Burke has stated that if Pope Francis won't clarify a serious error, the Cardinals must make a formal act of correction.

Isn't the Pope supposed to be infallible? For Catholics, isn't the Pope God's designated voice on earth? What are some of the specific points of controversy?

Joining Jim to discuss this controversy was Mike Gendron. For over 30 years, Mike was a devout Roman Catholic and was taught to rely upon the authority of the church. He followed the priests, the sacraments and was depending upon his own good works for salvation. However in 1981, after attending an apologetics seminar called, 'Evidence for the Christian Faith', the Bible became his sole authority in all matters of faith. As he searched the Scriptures he was amazed to see how often the Bible contradicts the teaching and tradition of the church he had been a part of for so long. Mike placed his trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and the Bible became his sole authority in all matters of faith. He founded a ministry, Proclaiming the Gospel, that points people to Jesus Christ as the all-sufficient Savior.

Mike explained that this controversy started when the Pope issued his exhortation (Amoris Laetitia) that goes not only against Roman Catholic theology but also against the Word of God. In this exhortation the Pope says that no one is condemned to hell, that the divorced and civilly remarried are not in a state of serious sin and can receive sanctifying grace and grow in charity. The Pope also stated that a person with full knowledge of the divine law can sin by choosing to obey that law.

As this Crosstalk moves along, Jim has Mike explain papal infallibility and the role of sacred tradition in the Catholic church, the Pope's ecumenical agenda, his description of proselytizing as sin, the priestly authority to pardon mothers who've had abortions, his opinion on human induced global warming and much more.

Hearing from Heaven, part 2

Have you ever needed a word from the Lord and closed you eyes, opened your Bible and pointed at a random verse trusting the Lord that that verse would be His personal word to you? Lots of people do this today thinking it is a legitimate means of hearing from God. Where did this practice begin? We will talk about this and it's connection to an errant movement known as Pietism.

Avoiding Spiritual Drift (Part 1)

Hebrews 2 is a good warning for everyone. Do you believe?

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung has a conversation with Dr Randy Price and they will focus on Randy's new project, searching for the original "Noah's Ark" and it's exact location today. Jimmy and Randy will discuss the efforts by several groups to re-build the Ark to the specs found in the Bible; was the flood of Noah's day a world-wide flood; and why Randy is so involved in this project to find the original Ark.

Occult influence is very real, enshrined in modern philosophies as well as the media: music, TV, the movies. As believers running the race of life, we must understand what we’re facing, and, how to deal with it.
