My guest to discuss this topic is Chris Quintana. Chris is the pastor of Calvary Chapel Cypress, which is located in Orange County, California, and Chris has been featured in the video series Wide Is the Gate , which is an apologetic documentary that deals with trends in the church that have drawn many Christians away from the Word of God.

Tom Chantry Interview Tom discusses growing up in a pastor’s home, preaching and essentials for faithful gospel ministry. Tom is the Pastor of Christ Reformed Baptist Church. Tom was born in Pennsylvania and had the blessing of growing up in a Christian home. He was converted in childhood and began to consider the call to the ministry while still in high school. He attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and Westminster Seminary in Escondido, California. Upon concluding his studies, Tom moved to Arizona and worked in full-time ministry for five years. Subsequently he has been a member of Reformed Baptist churches in Washington and Illinois and has spent four years teaching at a Christian school in the Chicago area. Tom began preaching regularly at Christ Reformed Baptist Church in the summer of 2005. One year later he moved to the Milwaukee area to begin preaching full time.

Is Evolution Both a Fact and a Theory? This video takes a logical and scientific approach to answer the question. The first step is to establish the proper definitions of both a scientific fact and a scientific theory. The second step is to compare what has been observed to these definitions. Mike uses the big bang, star formation, the origin of life, information in DNA, the fossil record and dinosaurs as comparisons. The third step is to draw a conclusion.

"The Believer's Blessing in Christ" Part 2 Ephesians 1.10-14.

In the past few years, the world we know seems to have gone on a spiral journey downward so fast that my head spins at times. Same sex marriage, more government control, less religious freedoms, America no longer being a Christian nation, natural disasters of record proportion, and many other things that are going on have many of us wondering, “What is happening to our world?”  However, I take great comfort in knowing that there is nothing that is happening worldwide, or even in my own personal life, that is outside the good pleasure of the Father’s will and for His glory.  I also take great joy in knowing that He is working all things according to His will and that He purposed that each event would take place in His providence. It is mind boggling to think that one day He will gather everything together and time as we know it here on earth will end.  These truths, along with blessings for the believer, are the joy we have before us as we study this lesson, The Believer's Blessings in Christ. (Part 2)

Christine Lagarde of the IMF, President Obama, and Pope Francis are all drooling anthropogenic global warming – bring on the carbon tax! The Vatican hosted a confab this week about global warming. In his boralogue, John highlights the socialist buzz words found in UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s keynote address at the Vatican. It seems ‘sustainable development’ is not only the main topic of the speech, it also gets the drool flowing. We’ll take a look at sustainability this week. When the Soviet Union collapsed and the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, what was a socialist to do? Thank goodness the concept of global warming came along a few years later. And with it came the new, rather vague, concept of sustainability. We welcome to the program Dr. Peter Wood President of the National Association of Scholars, who sheds some light on this popular issue. Several college campuses offer sustainability courses, but is it more about indoctrination and less about education? “It’s a shame in this country,” Peter says, “when the institution most dedicated to free speech has become the institution most hostile to free speech.” This week, a massive earthquake struck Nepal, killing more than 5,000, injuring twice that many, and toppling thousands of homes and historic buildings. With the casualty numbers sure to rise, Dr. Paul Williams, M.D. author of the emergency preparedness series When All Plan Fail, rejoins us to talk about the human toll and what we can do to help. You’ve heard us mention on the program that the United States is slowly becoming an oligarchic dictatorship. Ellen Brown, Founder and Senior Advisor of the Public Banking Institute, discusses what that would look like. She also shows how the Trans Pacific Partnership is one of the catalysts pushing us toward this oligarchy. Join us for our weekly Section 6 intelligence briefing, featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world. This week, John takes an extensive look at the rumblings of war on the global chessboard. You can feel it coming.

Moses in the Koran versus the Biblical truth (Program #11)

Spiritual Warfare - Rebuking Satan One need not listen to "Christian" television for long before one hears a preacher rebuking Satan. Statements such as, "Satan, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus" are commonplace and growing in acceptance among even non-charismatic churches. Should we be addressing Satan directly? Is this wise? Do we have the authority to do this? Well, unless you think you are more powerful than Michael the Archangel, you might want to think twice before rebuking the "god of this age."

Rabbit Foot Faith (I Samuel 4)

God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end! We turn to the very end of the book this week on “Encounter God’s Truth” with theologian Dr. John Whitcomb. It gives us a glimpse of the glory that awaits us—and also one last invitation for everyone to come and trust in Christ and receive His all-sufficient provisions for eternity. Host Wayne Shepherd asks Dr. Whitcomb if this study of the eternal destiny of the church sheds light on the church’s origin and nature, as described in the gospels and the epistles. Thanks for listening to this study of “A New Heaven and a New Earth.” We hope that it will be a real encouragement to you!

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung will have a conversation with Dave James on an issue that Christians need to understand and have a Biblical perspective of as well. Jimmy and Dave, in light of Israel's 67th Independence Day, will talk about some in the Church who say that God is finished with the Jews and now is focused on the Church. God is focused on the Church, however, He still has a plan and program for the Jewish people. You need to hear this conversation between Jimmy and Dave.

Jim placed the spotlight on the following stories during this news round-up edition of Crosstalk: --1 police officer charged with murder, 3 were charged with manslaughter and 2 with assault in the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore. --A 33 year old East Point, Georgia, mother has been accused of making serious threats against police officers nationwide on her Facebook page and is in jail. --The ISIS flag shows up in the Baltimore riots. --Current and former members of Congress say that amid ISIS threats to the U.S. the Obama administration is failing to counter domestic radicalization of Muslims and the potential for terrorists to infiltrate the U.S. border. --While describing savage jihad acts during a speech at Brooklyn College, conservative Pamela Geller is sneered and jeered at by Muslims. --Islamic State calling for Muslims in the U.S. to use their cars to attack non- Muslims, especially military personnel and police.

Why is it that some kids want to break with their families to experience the world? Many end up in ruins, wishing they’d never left. Absalom was a prodigal son who left and never returned.

Moses in the Koran versus the Biblical truth (Program #10)

A Bad Book Is A Good Thief
How do you buy books in a “Christian” bookstore or catalogue? Is there a strategy? Can books be judged by their covers?

This edition of PTIB is one that you don't want to miss. Jimmy DeYoung will talk with Ken Timmerman who has a very special report on one of Saddam Hussein's military leaders and some one who has recently been advising the Islamic State. In addition Jimmy will speak with Ken about the fact that Russia says Islamic State is their worst enemy and at the same time Russia wants to "redesign" the Middle East.
