Guest: Justin Peters. Topic: Jude 6 says that certain demons are bound in everlasting chains. What is the Greek word used for everlasting and does it really mean everlasting? Topic: Justin Peters has just returned from preaching in India. Justin reports that the Word of Faith theology has ensnared many people as this false teaching is exported from America all around the world through networks such as TBN. Justin was scheduled to be a guest on the program and an hour before the program it was discovered that the co-founder of TBN, Jan Crouch had passed away on this same day. Brannon and Justin endeavor to be respectful in handling this topic but yet they do not shy away from asking some vital questions. Why did some of the teachers on TBN that claim they can heal not heal Jan? How can TBN teach it is always the will of God to be healed and then see that their own co-founder was not healed? Why should Christians not believe the so-called Christian press that is writing about Jan as though she and her network represented the true Gospel? Topic: Justin shares some moving testimonies from ministering to Christians in India.

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung will focus on geo-political activities around the world with Ken Timmerman, who is on the catbird seat in Washington. Jimmy and Ken will discuss Ken's article in the Washington Times, why the Trump temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States is necessary; an Iranian official saying that Iran can destroy Israel in 8 minutes; Iranian hardliners keep control of the Assembly of Experts; the Kurds are going after IS in their capital city, Raqqa; IS has destroyed a Russian airbase in Syria; and Saudi Arabia is asserting their power through the radical Islamic sect, Wahhabism.

Crosstalk Guest: Dr. David Brown. Topic: 2 Timothy 3:16 is the Bible verse that covers the inspiration of the Bible (God breathed out his words) while 2 Peter 1:21 covers the fact that God's Word is not man's ideas. The Holy Ghost carried the writers along to write out exactly what God had breathed out, in their own style. In other words, we have the words of God in our Bible today. Dr. Brown noted that while we don't have original manuscript evidence for the Bible, we have copies of those originals. In fact, there are thousands of examples of Greek manuscript evidence to support the accuracy of the Bible. He cited one in particular known as the Magdalene Fragment that dates back to about 70 AD. It agrees with the text of the King James Version of the Bible. The Bible was written over a period of about 1,500 years. It began with God's revelation to Moses on Mount Sinai. The Old Testament is testified to in the scroll of Isaiah. Regarding the Jews who preserved the Old Testament, they were so meticulous in their efforts, they couldn't write anything from memory. Dr. Brown described the process beginning with a reading scribe, a writing scribe and a checking scribe. By the end of the 1st century or the beginning of the 2nd century, the books of the New Testament were collected into one volume. Dr. Brown believes by that time the church recognized what was God's Word and what wasn't. Writings that fit the latter category include the Gnostic Gospels. Dr. Brown mentioned how the term 'canon' means 'reed or measuring rod' but came to mean 'a rule of faith'. In light of that, what should we make of the Apocrypha? Why isn't that part of the canon of the Bible? There are no Hebrew manuscripts of the Apocrypha. So while it was added in, in the 1400's the Westminster fathers indicated that although they felt it was good for historical purposes, it was not to be taken as Scripture. As part one moved along, Jim had Dr. Brown discuss the following: --Since we don't have the original manuscripts, which copies can we depend upon? --How did the Bible move from the Hebrew to the Latin Vulgate? --Why did the Roman church prevent people from reading the Bible on their own? --What men did God use to break this grip of church control? --Who was Richard Hunne?

In Genesis 15, God promises Abraham many offspring and pledges to give them much of the Middle East. Now that’s a big promise! God guaranteed a land and a people to bring forth the Redeemer.

Teenage Survey: Barna and ABS did a survey among Bible reading teenagers. The results might surprise you.

In today’s program, we begin a two-installment series of classics from our Search the Scriptures Daily archives with the late founder of The Berean Call, Dave Hunt, and TBC executive director Tom McMahon. This week, they address the question: “Do You Have the Faith of a Mustard Seed?”

Series: With the Master is Fullness of Joy Lesson: 07 Title: Standing, Striving and Suffering Passage: Philippians 1:27-30 Description: As we finish chapter one of Philippians, Paul will mention certain goals he has in mind for the church at Philippi. By the way, these are much needed goals in our day for every believer in Jesus Christ. Paul will write regarding how to stand, how to strive and how to suffer.

Happy Memorial Day weekend. We wish everyone a safe and festive weekend and offer up prayers to those who have served or who are currently serving in our military and their families. We will forego the boralogue this week and jump right in with our first guest, historian Dr. Dennis Cuddy (www.newswithviews.com), who discusses the slow Marxist influence in our schools over the past several years and how the power elites today are taking advantage of this failing education system by stifling free speech and redefining both history and moral values. How has racism in the United States gotten to the point where only some lives matter? David Horowitz (www.horowitzfreedomcenter.org), Chairman of the Horowitz Freedom Center, joins us to examine racism according to the progressive Left and the hijacking of the civil rights movement. John’s quote of the week: “These ideas, these tactics are nothing new. They were used by Hitler; they were used by Stalin. We must stand up, fight against them, and continue to tell the truth.” There will be no Section 6 intelligence briefing this week as we take some time off for Memorial Day, but the segment will return next week. Please like us on Facebook at the Steel on Steel page and remember to join Praying for Persecuted Christians on Facebook as well for the latest information concerning Christians suffering for their faith around the world.

Is the Catholic Church the one true church? The answer is a resounding no. Mike Gendron proves this fact.

My friend and Board member, Mike Miller and his son, Jacob, just returned from our trip to India. This was, by God's grace, a fruitful trip. I will tell you about Samuel Raju who pastors 3 churches and cares for orphans and widows in his own home - 50 of them. I'll also share with you some of the feedback we received from our teaching there. It was most encouraging. We also had a bit of opposition from the Hindus. They tried to stop us with truckloads of sand but were unsuccessful (I'll explain that one). I'll also share the stories of Aditya and Madhav, two brothers in the Lord who, by His grace alone, have been impacted by the teaching of this ministry. All of you who support this work whether by prayers or finances or both are a part of this - and I thank you. To God be the glory.

Glorious Glory (Phillipians 4:19-20)

Welcome to a special patriotic edition of "Encounter God’s Truth." You know Dr. John Whitcomb as a Bible teacher, author and educator. But did you know that he served in a field artillery battalion in the Army in Europe during World War II? And that his family has a rich history of military service? This week’s broadcast varies from our normal format, as we are going to listen to a portion of an interview that Brannon Howse conducted with Dr. Whitcomb on his program, “Worldview Weekend Radio,” where Dr. Whitcomb appears regularly as a guest. They held this conversation in April of 2015, after Dr. Whitcomb went to tour Washington, D.C., on the Indy Honor Flight. They discussed that memorable event, then went into some of the details that Dr. Whitcomb remembers from World War II. We are grateful for Brannon's permission to bring this unforgettable audio to you.

Today Jimmy DeYoung has a very interesting conversation with Winkie Medad, a politico, a journalist and a very good friend to us here at Prophecy Today. Jimmy and Winkie will discuss the new "coalition government for the Israeli Prime Minister, with a new Defense Minister who is a "right-wing" politician; the PM says he needs a right-wing government to deal with his radical enemies in the region; the inclusion of a Temple Mount Activist, Rabbi Yehuda Glick, now a member of the Israeli Knesset, who is saying that he will work in the government to get rights for Jewish Worshipers to enter the Temple Mount and to even pray on this, the most holy site for the Jewish people.

Lot chose to ally with the King of Sodom, to his eventual ruin. Abraham paid homage to the King of Salem, Melchizedek, priest of the God Most High. From that choice has flowed blessing to the entire world.

Many current news stories were highlighted--here are just a few of them: In Middle-east news: The Times of Israel reports that Iran is now saying they have the ability to destroy Israel in less than eight minutes. They are testing missiles, tests that are not forbidden by the Iran agreement, but are inconsistent with a UN Security Council resolution, Iran is also renewing support for the the Palestinian terrorist group, Islamic Jihad in Gaza, as they work to strengthen their fight against Israel. A Lebanese newspaper reports that Hezbollah celebrated the anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon by announcing that they are building tunnels into Israel, and claiming that they taught Hamas to do the same along the Gaza-Israel border. Here are just a few of many stories about promoting and requiring accommodation of transgenders in stores, schools, and elsewhere: Eleven states are now filing suit against the directive by the Education and Justice Departments giving "guidance" to all public schools to open their rest rooms and dressing rooms for the use of students based on their gender identity, not their physical sex. The states include Texas, Alabama, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah, and Georgia, plus Arizona's Department of Education and Main Governor Paul LePage. 43 Republican members of Congress joined Democrats to vote for Barack Obama's trans-gender agenda, ratifying an executive order barring contractors who "discriminate" against sexual identity, even in their private employment policies. Southern Poverty and Law Center complained to the Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC) of the State of Alabama about Chief Justice Roy Moore, and now former Legal Director of the SPLC has been Hired by the JIC to prosecute Moore. It is now reported by Lifesite News that in addition to the bathroom regulations in the "guidance" for accommodating transgender students in all public school, another provision states that during such activities as field trips that include overnight stays, school districts must allow biological males and females to stay together in the same hotel room, and if they alert the young women or their parents in advance, they risk a federal lawsuit. Target Stores are now suing a man who protected a girl who was being stabbed at a store in Pennsylvania. Her attacker was convicted of criminal assault, but Target now charges that the man, who was hailed at the time as a hero who likely saved her life, acted irresponsibly. Girl Scouts of NE New York will now allow trans-gender members. The governor of Oregon, Keith Brown, who is openly bi-sexual, has encouraged people to speak out positively in bi-sexual language.
