Topic: The U.S. Supreme Court ruled today that same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states. The religious right is shouting that now God is going to judge America. Watch for this and when you see a religious right leader say this it should cause you to understand they do not understand the Bible. Same-Sex marriage will not bring the judgement of God but it is the judgement of God. Romans 1 makes it clear that rejecting God causes God to give over a nation in judgement and proof of that judgement is that the nation will embrace homosexuality, paganism, vain and useless thinking, violent and debased thinking and living, and corruption at all levels of leadership that includes knowingly rejecting the righteous judgements of God. Topic: While much of the religious right is beating their chest and claiming that the liberals and homosexuals are to blame for God judging America they might want to read 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 and realize that one reason God is no longer blessing America is partly their fault for violating the Scriptural command to not be involved in spiritual enterprises with false teachers. Much of the religious right has and continues to promote and partner with false teachers that blaspheme God. Topic: Dr. Jimmy DeYoung joins us to respond the U.S. Supreme Court ruling as well as these topics: Israel rejects United Nations Report of War Crimes committed by the Israeli Defense Force in the Gaza War. Topic: A recent poll finds massive drop in Israeli approval of Obama and his Middle East policy. Topic: Islamic State enforces Ramadan fast by crucifying two children. Topic: Islamic Sheik said the end of Israel could happen within 6 months.

It is easy to get discouraged about the state of evangelicalism in the United States and particularly so in the American South, or, the "Bible Belt." So much of Christianity in the South is cultural. Almost all evangelical churches will profess faith in the Bible and proclaim it to be inerrant but their fidelity to Scripture wanes when the Scripture becomes inconvenient or when it challenges long-held church tradition. Many go to church but few actually study their Bibles. When talking with church-going evangelicals outside of church there is precious little if any discussion of doctrine, theology, or the things of the Lord in general. No fellowship around the Word. I just returned from preaching at a church in Cullman, Alabama and it was a breath of fresh air. I had wonderful fellowship with many there and left quite encouraged. In this program I will tell you about the trip, some of the people I met and how God has worked in their lives - dramatically so. God does have His people out there. I think this program will encourage you.

Living With Purpose (Philippians 1:19-26)

Abraham in the Koran is not the Abraham of the Bible. (#14)

Our guest for this week and next is Keith Gibson. Keith is a pastor, and he’s the author of Wandering Stars: Contending for the Faith with the New Apostles and Prophets.

Evangelism Opportunities: Make sure you see all of your contact in life as great opportunities to give them the Good News.

This is a much needed lesson as we consider the The Structure and the Purpose of the Body of Christ--Ephesians 4:7-16. As one man put it well, “In more than a decade of pastoral ministry I’ve never met a Christian who was healthier, more mature, and more active in ministry in being apart from the church. But I have found the opposite to be invariably true. The weakest Christians are those least connected to the body. And the less involved you are, the more disconnected those following you will be. The man who attempts Christianity without the church shoots himself in the foot, shoots his children in the leg, and shoots his grandchildren in the heart.” Are you using your spiritual gifts in your local body and for the glory of Christ?

he elimination of racism was supposed to have begun five decades ago, but it seems stronger than ever today. Why is that? In the boralogue this week, John looks at contradictions put forth from the power elites and asks the question, “What happens when we’re subjected to false narratives?” Those that used to preach “don’t push your views on other people” are doing nothing but that now. Freedom of speech for everyone now pertains to politically correct speech only. Big government used to be abhorrent, but now it’s all the rage. Amidst all these contradictions, the ability to debate an issue that the politically correct declare as settled is stymied at every turn. As a result, our freedoms are gradually deteriorating: freedoms that were established long before our country was founded. On June 15, we celebrated the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta at Runnymede by King John of England. To contrast the many journalists and commentators who have recently been downplaying the importance of the Great Charter, we welcome back to the program Avi Davis (www.americanfreedomalliance.org), President of the American Freedom Alliance. He shows how the Magna Carta influenced the writings of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution and established the freedoms that people have enjoyed throughout the Anglosphere. Deprived of their freedom and often their lives, Christians around the world are being persecuted at an alarming rate. Johnnie Moore (www.defyingisis.com), Vice President for Faith Content at Lightworkers Media, shares his experiences in the Middle East and identifies ISIS as the most serious threat to Christians in Iraq in thousands of years. In the midst of sparse news coverage on persecution, he advocates praying for the victims and encouraging local and national leaders to combat the problem. Internet access affects virtually every aspect of personal and professional life, so maintaining internet openness and security is imperative. Craig Parshall (www.aclj.org), Special Counsel to the American Center for Law and Justice, examines the Obama administration’s plan to cede control of the Internet to a private, non-profit group called ICANN. This group operates in secret, independent of U.S. veto power, has the authority to shut down the internet should a catastrophe arise, and has been meeting with leaders from anti free-speech countries. As always, join us online for our weekly Section 6 intelligence briefing, featuring analysis by John on important stories highlighting emerging geopolitical trends around the world. Please like us on Facebook at the Steel on Steel page and remember to join Praying for Persecuted Christians on Facebook as well for the latest information concerning Christians suffering for their faith around the world.

Can we take God’s Word as truth—from the beginning to the end? That is really the question that confronts us this week on "Encounter God’s Truth." Our current series features guest speaker Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. He is going to explain how the battle over the truthfulness of Genesis is really a battle over the authority of the Scriptures. Ken will also challenge us with a call to action—to be able to give Biblical answers to questions people raise, and to be prepared to train future generations in Scriptural truth. Failing this, we will only be able to stand by and watch as the culture drifts farther away from its Biblical foundations—and as those promoting evolution, and millions of years, aggressively advance their views. Following the main lesson, Dr. John Whitcomb shares some additional teaching regarding the nature of apostasy and the need for solid, Biblical theology. With host Wayne Shepherd, Whitcomb Ministries offers its appreciation again to Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, Wisconsin, where this message was first delivered.

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung and Dave James stop to reflect how they as Father's were led of the Lord to go to the Mission Field after they had children and how that impacted not only their families but their children as well. Dave will share with all of us the life of one of the wives of the five missionaries that lost their lives in the jungles of Ecuador. Then Dave and Jimmy will discuss the role of the Father of a family and how, under the leadership of the Lord, they must raise up the next generation, guided by the principles of the Bible.

In a 5-4 decision, the court said that the 14th Amendment requires states to license these marriages.

Philosophers have long wrestled with the root cause of evil. One major cause is our enemy Satan, who seeks to destroy in any way he can. And yes, people can be influenced by the devil to perpetrate evil deeds.

Divorce and Remarriage: Malachi chides the Israelites for discarding their wives. Amazingly, and sadly, that problem is prevalent in our society today--even in the church.

In just the last 24 hours, the Senate passed Fast Track Authority to allow trade agreements to be made simply with an up or down vote, this morning we saw the U.S. Supreme Court rule on Obamacare subsidies and last evening the White House celebrated LGBT pride month. In the case of Obamacare, the words 'established by the state' regarding exchanges and subsidies was defined as ambiguous by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. The new ruling means these words actually refer to that which is established by the state or the federal government.

Those who have a conscience can feel shame: that sense of embarrassment when caught in a sinful act. But there’s also the painful shame that victims of sexual abuse bear, that isn’t their fault. So how do you deal with that kind of shame?
