Truth Be Told. We are joined by Nathan Kistler (Hope to The Hill) and Paul Broun (Medical Doctor, Former GA Congressman). Topics discussed include: Happenings in Washington D.C. The Role of Government. The Pastors Role in Preserving our Liberties & Freedom.

Today on PTIB Dave Dolan joins Jimmy DeYoung at the Broadcast Table to give us all a Middle East News Up-date. This report on this key region of our world helps us to see how current events are moving us closer to the end times scenario that is found in the prophetic Word of God. Jimmy and Dave will discuss the recent trip by Prime Minister Netanyahu to meet with Russian President Putin to clarify how Russia is dealing with Iran in Syria; how this visit may be a "game-changer" in the Israel elections; Israel's reaction to the firing of John Bolton by President Trump; the Israeli denial of spying at the White House; and Israel's reaction to the Iranian declaration that they are ready to wipe Israel off the map.

Many people don’t accept themselves as clay before God on the potter’s wheel. They become slaves to their peers, who value appearances. But you can see yourself as a unique creation of God, and then, live in freedom.

Have you ever wondered what the world would look like in the last days?  What will be the major power? One significant insight the Bible provides is giving us a look at New Babylon.  Did you know that more than one-tenth of the book of Revelation is devoted to prophecies about this city? As a matter of fact, Babylon plays a critically important role in the Bible.

Joining Jim to discuss this critical piece of Bible prophecy was Ron Rhodes. Ron is the president of Reasoning from the Scriptures Ministries.  He’s a keynote speaker at conferences across the United States and the author of approximately 70 books with over 1 million sold, many on the topics of apologetics as well as Bible prophecy.  This visit to Crosstalk focused on his newest book, ‘New Babylon Rising.’

Before one enters any discussion on Bible prophecy, it’s important to understand where the commentator stands in terms of their method of interpretation.  Ron bases his books on the following standard: When the plain sense makes good sense, seek no other sense, lest you end up in nonsense.

So for Ron, if you really want to understand how God will fulfill prophecy in the future, take a look at how God has fulfilled prophecy in the past.  This is due to the consistency of God in His word. In other words, when you take a look at the prophecies for the first coming of Christ, they came literally to pass.  For example, Christ was to come from the line of Abraham, from the line of David, born of a virgin, was born in Bethlehem, He was pierced for our sins, and over 90 others.  All of these came to pass literally. Ron believes we can expect that same kind of consistency from God when it comes to dealing with the prophecies concerning the second coming, as well as the events related to it.

Looking at this from a terminology standpoint, while Ron believes that Jerusalem means Jerusalem and Israel means Israel, he also believes that Babylon means Babylon and that it shouldn’t be metaphorically interpreted as New York City or some other interpretation.  In fact, out of the 400 verses in Revelation, 40 of them deal with New Babylon, so it’s one of those topics Ron feels we can’t ignore.

Throughout history, Babylon has been a city that has stood against God.  Nimrod, for example, is seen by Ron as a foreshadowing of the anti-Christ during New Babylon.  Ron explained this in greater detail, telling listeners that if you don’t understand this, a lot of Revelation just doesn’t make good sense.

As this broadcast moved along, Ron also commented on the following:

–What are the contrasts between Jerusalem and Babylon?

–Does technology like we see in the ‘Sequoia’ super-computer have a role to play in the emergence of the ‘end times?’

–When does New Babylon emerge?  What about its destruction?

–How does Armageddon fit into all of this?

–Who or what is ‘Mystery Babylon?’

–What is the relationship between New Babylon, the mark of the beast and the cashless society?

The Rule of Law—What’s That? We are joined by David Whitney (Pastor, Radio Host, Instructor at Institute on the Constitution). Topics discussed include: Defining “The Rule of Law”. What is True Law? (The “Scale of the Law”). Connecting Law, Justice, and Freedom. Restoring the Rule of Law.

The Israeli elections, Tuesday September 17, are key to the future of the Jewish State of Israel. These elections are a re-run of the Israeli elections of last April that did not result in the setup of a coalition government under the leadership of Prime Minister Netanyahu. As we will receive a preview of these upcoming elections from Winkie Medad, we will see that these elections may be a repeat of the April elections. Winkie joins Jimmy DeYoung at the Broadcast Table here on PTIB to discuss all about the elections in Israel; how a Prime Minister is elected; why Israel may end up the same as the April elections; what may cause this to happen; and why these elections are so key to the future of the Jewish State of Israel.

Take one look at the television, and it teaches that life at its best is reserved for “beautiful people.” Many assess their value based on how they look. This distorted view of self is damaging, especially to young people. So, how do we counteract it?

Minnesota is planning to have a statewide rally on the steps of the state capitol this Sunday afternoon in protest of legislation being considered that mandates so-called comprehensive sex education for every child in pre-K through 12th grade.  This will take place in public and charter schools all across the state.

Joining Jim to discuss this issue was Michele Lentz.  Michelle is the president of the Child Protection League which is committed to promoting the welfare of children and protecting them from exploitation, indoctrination and violence.  They educate on issues that threaten the safety of children.

HF-1414 was drafted earlier this year in Minnesota.  Michele described this legislation as a mandate on public and charter schools to have comprehensive sex education taught.  While this may sound innocent enough on the surface, she noted that this isn’t the human anatomy type of sex-ed classes that those in older generations may have experienced.

The language of what’s being proposed is being promoted by Planned Parenthood, an organization that is a big proponent of sex education.  In fact, they boast on their website that they are the largest provider of comprehensive sex education in the state of Minnesota.

On their website, Planned Parenthood has a book as an example of the type of curriculum that they believe is appropriate and meets the standards of HF-1414.  The book is called, ‘It’s Perfectly Normal’ and right on the cover it states that it’s for children ages 10 and up. However, Michele communicated that if you took that book to the park and showed it to children, you’d be arrested.  So in spite of the fact that the media won’t even show the pictures on television because they violate obscenity standards, Planned Parenthood and those proposing this legislation believe that this is fine for 10 year olds to learn in school.

Because of the anti-bullying and non-discrimination policies that are being imposed upon children, everything has to be proposed as acceptable.  So the goal is to teach kids how to consent to sex, to promote multiple sexual orientations and gender identities, get abortion referrals and gender counseling with no parental involvement or notification.

The legislation also refers to a ‘model program.’  The schools are allowed to chose whatever sex-ed curriculum they want as long as it meets the model policy.  The problem is, the model policy removes all the natural and protective boundaries for children and teens while encouraging sexual exploitation and doing it in graphic detail.

Review this broadcast and you’ll learn more including:

–Do children have the right to what some might call ‘reproductive justice?’

–Is there an ‘opt-out’ option within HF-1414 for either the schools or parents?  –What is SIECUS?

–What is meant by a ‘state approved alternative program?’

Crosstalk callers joined in as well with opinions both pro and con.

Are there really ten lost tribes?

Today is the day of the week when Jimmy DeYoung and Dave James get together at the PTIB Broadcast Table to have a discussion on an issue that the Christian must have a Biblical understanding of for his or her daily walk. This time Jimmy and Dave will discuss some theological trends that present some major concerns, like Biblical doctrine, and the responsibility that the local church, and its leadership, have in preserving right, Biblical doctrine; the Bible's clear statement on the subject, as well as other theological trends; how the church, in the last days, will also move away from the doctrines of God's Word. This is a very important discussion, please stay tuned.

There is no absolute truth, Marxists tell us, unless of course it's about narratives they want you to believe.  In this week's boralogue, John looks at the reality behind climate change narratives, including how eliminating energy and transportation industries will lead to far more deaths than the supposed ones brought about by climate change.  There is much hysterbole happening with climate change, so much so that we can't get past the narrative to look at the truth.

The climate change battle is being waged on many fronts, including in the courtroom.  Author and environmentalist Dr. Tim Ball ( describes his victory in a defamation lawsuit, but in the war against so-called 'climate deniers,' the penalty is the process as the global warming crowd uses lawfare to stifle discussion and debate.

The weaponization of justice extends beyond climate, though, and nowhere is that more evident than in the case of former Congressman Steve Stockman.  His wife, conservative activist Patti Stockman (, joins us to discuss how the Obama administration targeted her husband because he spoke out against corruption.

After John describes the battle between President Trump and the Fed ahead of the 2020 election, he welcomes back to the program Vishal Mangalwadi (, President and Founder of the Book of the Revelation Movement.  Vishal examines the origins of freedom, based on the truth of God in the Bible.

John’s quote of the week:

"The global temperatures in the Middle Ages were as high as or even higher than they are now.  They went down in the 1700s; that was called the Maunder Minimum.  Then they started back up again, long before the introduction of carbon dioxide in large amounts into the atmosphere.  This is the result preceding the cause."

The Jewish people have blessed the entire world! In fact, God’s covenant with Abraham concludes with the promise of Genesis 12:3 that “in (Abraham) all families of the earth (would) be blessed.” Dr. John Whitcomb explains that promise here on “Encounter God’s Truth,” and thus shows again how God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end. The people of Israel have played a unique role in God’s plan for history and, as Dr. Whitcomb states, are “distinctive in privileges” they have enjoyed. God has used Israel to bring salvation to the world. In fact, until the day of Pentecost, no one could be saved without identifying with the Jewish people. Sadly, however, in Acts 3—when the church was still 100 percent Jewish—the nation rejected a re-offer of the kingdom that was given by the Apostles Peter and John. Host Wayne Shepherd introduces those thought-provoking themes, preparing us to consider “The First Persecution” on this week’s edition of “Encounter God’s Truth.” This program comes from Volume One of a series called “Acts: Witness of the Early Church.” It was recorded live at the Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, Connecticut. Whitcomb Ministries thanks them for their participation in this broadcast outreach.

At no time in history has the entertainment culture invaded the church more than it has today. Last time we took the content test and the control test to see how addicted we are. Now we must face test number three.
