Foreknowledge, part 2 This week we continue our study into the foreknowledge of God. We will look at the biblical meaning of this word. A word's meaning in Scripture cannot always be derived simply from its construction or dictionary definition. We must also look at how it is used in the biblical context. We will look at the usage of the word "know" in the Hebrew Old Testament as well as usage of "foreknowledge" in the New Testament. We will see that both words mean much more than simple cognition and that "foreknowledge" in the New Testament is always used in reference to people, not the actions of people. Foreknowledge means that God has set His affections upon a people from before the foundation of the world.
