Do Not Hinder Them, part 1

We begin a new series today. I have just completed writing a book on when it is appropriate to baptize children. Most evangelical churches baptize children upon making intellectual assent to basic facts of the Gospel. But is this wise? This is an issue that is woefully misunderstood and is surrounded much more with tradition than sound doctrine. There are many different doctrinal, theological, and ecclesiastical issues that come together in this one question: When should I baptize my child? Please join me for this series. It is one about which I am very passionate. There is much that the Bible has to say about this. There need not be so much confusion. Tell your friends to tune in. I'm not sure how long this series will last but it is one I've wanted to do for a long time. I know there is much emotion surrounding this issue but we will let the sufficient word of God be our guide. This series may upset your theological applecart a bit. I can assure you that my theological applecart was upset by the Truth of God's word on this issue several years ago. So, where I may be about to lead you I have already been led. I trust that by the end of this series, it will be of great encouragement to you and give you some helpful guidelines in bringing your child to Christ and knowing when to baptize him or her.
