The news desk was full once again and Jim was ready with much to share.  Here’s your weekly sample:  

–President Trump made history as the first sitting president to attend the March for Life.  Jim provided audio of the president’s speech during the third quarter hour.

–The vote for passage approving the rules for the impeachment trial passed along party lines this week.  

–Democrats complained that any process that does not allow them unfettered witness and document access is a cover-up.

–On day 2 of the trial, Adam Schiff suggested at one point that military aid to Ukraine was essential so that the U.S. would not have to fight Russians at home.

–House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was bragging that President Trump has been impeached forever.

–Barely 2 weeks after President Trump took office, Eric Ciaramella, the CIA analyst who’s name was recently linked in a tweet by the president and mentioned by lawmakers as the anonymous ‘whistleblower’ who touched of Trump’s impeachment, was overheard in the White House discussing with another staffer how to remove the newly elected president from office, according to former colleagues.

–Senator Susan Collins of Maine said she asked Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to reprimand Representative Jerry Nadler for accusing senators of participating in a cover-up while he was trying to convince them to call witnesses in the Senate impeachment trial.

–When they finally get a chance to make their case to the Senate tomorrow (Saturday), President Trump’s impeachment defense lawyers won’t present a rebuttal to the claims of Democrats according to Jordan Sekulow.  Instead they’re going to launch an attack on them.

–The U.S. Department of Justice Department of Education announced a proposed rule  that will provide guidance on legal protections for prayer and other religious expression in public schools.

–This year’s National Religious Freedom Day, President Trump issued a policy letter on the constitutional right to pray for students.

–President Trump is attempting to protect religious freedom in social services.

–A campaign staffer for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders allegedly suggested that those who push back against communist revolutions should expect a violent response.

–An undercover video allegedly shows a field organizer for the Bernie Sanders campaign talking about wanting to kill wealthy people and put Republicans into reeducation camps.

–Senator Elizabeth Warren has released plans to order the Justice Department to investigate President Trump should she be elected president in 2020.

–The campaign for Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg canceled a fund-raiser at a gay Rhode Island nightclub following a dispute over the presence of a stripper pole.
