Crosstalk: April 2, 2020
Many of us are familiar with Hebrews 10:24-25 which says, ‘And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.’ Please note the phrase, ‘the day approaching.’ In the Bible, Jesus spoke about the signs that would make it clear that His return is near. What are those signs? Are they evident today? The guest on this Crosstalk provided a unique perspective from his vantage point in Israel.
Amir Tsarfati is a native Israeli and former major in the Israeli Defense Forces. He is the founder and president of Behold Israel, a nonprofit ministry that provides access to news and information about Israel from a biblical and prophetic standpoint. He’s the author of ‘The Day Approaching – An Israeli’s Message of Warning and Hope for the Last Days.’
The view from Amir’s backyard overlooks a valley that has great biblical significance. It’s the Valley of Megiddo otherwise known as the Valley of Armageddon.
How does his view of that valley impact the urgency of his message? It helps him to understand that this valley will bring the world’s armies to fight with God in the last phase of a long battle of humanity/rebellion against God. So knowing this, it gives him the urgency and drive to spread the message of repentance and the good news of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
As this broadcast progressed, Jim had Amir answer the following:
–Amir often repeats the phrase, ‘Any day now.’ What does he mean by that?
–What or who is the ‘fig tree’ mentioned in Matthew 24 and how does the phrase, ‘this generation’ from the same portion of Scripture tie into that?
–What are the ’70 weeks’ from the book of Daniel?
–Does all the secularism in Israel today mean that God has abandoned them?
–Is the apostasy here or is it yet to come?
Don’t miss Amir’s answers to these and other related questions on this vital edition of Crosstalk.
