Brannon Howse: October 9, 2017

The Troubling Theology & Worldview of John Piper (Part 1). Topic: John Piper wrote an article on October 6, 2017 in which he is apparently supporting rapper Lecrae and his public separation from “White evangelicalism.” Piper also joins in backing up Lecrae on social justice and BLM issues. Topic: Did many evangelicals actually separate from Lecrae after he started preaching social justice and BLM issues? Why do entertainers and football players not understand that the public simply want to them to preform and play and shut up about their politics? Yet, when the public walks away because the public doesn’t want to hear about their liberal politics then sports figures and performers turn it into a racially divisive issue. Topic: John Piper in his article states that he did not vote from Trump, says Trump is not qualified to be President since he is a lecher, and Piper says he does not think kneeling during the National Anthem desecrates the flag. Brannon explains why Piper is wrong and why Americans pay respect to the flag as a symbol of sacrifice, service, honor, heroism, freedom, and lives laid down so that others might live. Topic: Listen as John Piper bemoans self-defense declares that no one needs to rely on the Bible or the Holy Spirit to encourage or instruct Christians in regards to a Biblical worldview on self-defense. Topic: We take lots of your calls.
