Guest: Jim Osman Topic: Pastor Jim joins Brannon to discuss what they believe is a very disturbing article by Brian Fischer of the American Family Association and American Family Radio Network. In an article this week, Fischer reveals he apparently has no Biblical understanding of spiritual warfare. Among other things Fischer writes, “It’s time to go to war–spiritual war, that is–for the president of the United States.” How does Fischer believe one can do this? Fisher goes on to write that he apparently believes in spiritual curses. Pastor Jim explains why Fischer is wrong to believe that a human can put a curse on anyone. Topic: Fischer writes “Jesus came to earth to destroy superstition.” Pastor Jim explains why this is a false statement. Topic: Fischer writes “No, demons are real, and they can be invoked and summoned just as Christians invoke the presence of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.” Brannon explains why both Christians and non-Christians cannot invoke, control, bind, or command demons to do anything and he gives examples from the Word of God. Then Brannon explains why Christians do not invoke the Holy Spirit but are always filled or being kept filled with the Holy Spirit. How does one keep being filled with the Holy Spirit? Topic: Fischer writes that he believes that the George Soros agitators at town hall meetings are an example of the spiritual warfare going on. Brannon and Jim explain that this is not an example of spiritual warfare but political protests, communist agitators in action, and even rebellion against our form of government but not spiritual warfare. Topic: Brannon explains that real spiritual warfare for Christians is defined in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and it involves refuting false teaching, lies about God, the Bible, the gospel, and the promotion of anti-Christ doctrines by proclaiming Biblcial truth. Topic: Jim and Brannon explain how Fischer is not helping Christians to think Biblically. Brannon and Jim wonder why Fischer is apparently not involved in the spiritual warfare of 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and joining them in exposing the philosophies and fables promoted by such false teachers as the Word of Faith, the New Apostolic Reformation, the Church of Rome, or the Mormons? Could it be because Fischer works for the American Family Association and their American Family Radio Network that has interviewed numerous false teachers such as Rick Joyner who thinks he is taking trips to heaven, and Heidi Baker, whom Christianity Today reports is apparently raising the dead? Perhaps it is because AFA/AFR has entered into spiritual prayer rallies with Word of Faith and NAR proponents that worship another Jesus? Topics: We take your calls.
