Here, we complete our discussion (part 2 of 2) of neo-evangelicalism versus fundamentalism. Recently, a piece from Christianity Today was written claiming that it is un-Christian to support the Presidency of Donald Trump. This editorial went on to support Trump’s removal from office. This editorial captured the attention of many since it was considered to be a Christian perspective. However, does such an attack piece really represent the Christian point of view? The answer to that question is negative when you understand the distinction between fundamentalism and Neo-evangelicalism. When this distinction is observed, it becomes clear that not everyone who claims to be speaking for Christ represents all Christians. Here, we explore the differences in worldview between Neo-evangelicals and fundamentalists. How does this recent attack piece on Donald Trump coming from Christianity Today actually make sense when we first understand the core differences between neo-evangelicalism and fundamentalism?
