Understanding Acts 2 and refuting the false claims of the Word of Faith and New Apostolic Reformation concerning what they call manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Watch video clips as we refute the false teaching of Nicky Gumbel and the Alpha course as well as that of the WOF and NAR. Topic: Acts 2:1 describes the Jewish believers being baptized in or receiving the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. Topic: Acts 2:4 describes the Jewish believers being filled with the Spirit on Pentecost. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is a one-time occurrence when someone becomes a Christian. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is a daily occurrence as we yield our will and life in obedience and faithfulness to the will and Word of God. Topic: Four different people groups all received the Holy Spirit in the same manner as described in Acts 2, Acts 8, Acts 10, and Acts 19. Why was it vital that the Jews, Samaritans, Gentiles, and Old Testament disciples all receive the same validation when receiving the Holy Spirit? Why are the events of Acts 2, 8, 10, and 19 not repeated again in the New Testament in this manner? Topic: The tongues discussed in these chapters were known languages and dialects and the known languages were listed in Acts 2.

Topic: Why are believers today not called to seek the events of Acts 2, 8, 10, and 19? Topic: God wanted one Church that was equal and in unity. God did not want the Jews claiming to be the spiritual elite because they received a special validation in receiving the Holy Spirit that the Samaritans or Gentiles did not receive. Yet, this is exactly what the false prophets and apostles of the Word of Faith and New Apostolic Reformation do when they claim a special anointing, special manifestations, and thus a special spiritual elite class that everyone must obey. Topic: The fact that the Word of Faith and New Apostolic Reformation proponents do not preach the Jesus or Gospel of the Bible proves they have not been filled with the Holy Spirit and thus their self-described manifestations of being filled with the spirit are either self-induced or demonically induced.
