South Dakota: Muslim Who Brandished Guns at Worldview Weekend Gets 7 Months Prison With Served Time Suspended

“U.S. District Judge Lawrence Piersol sentenced the 46-year-old to seven months imprisonment with served time suspended, seven months in community or home detention and three years of probation.”

In his video he pulled out weapon after weapon while declaring, “Be f**king terrified,” in accord with the Qur’an’s command to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60). Why the light sentence? Are South Dakota authorities so terrified of appearing “Islamophobic” that they’re afraid to punish a man brandishing numerous weapons while making repeated declarations of “Be scared” and “Be terrified” because he is a Muslim? If he were a “right-wing extremist,” do you think he would have gotten off this easily? Neither do I.

This was not an “anti-Islam” event, it was a Christian conference. Full details here inculding video of Muslim man making terroristic threats: http://www.worldviewweekend.com/tv/video/muslim-not-arrested-showing-3-p...

“South Dakota man who took guns to anti-Islam event sentenced,” Associated Press, October 16, 2017:

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A South Dakota man who carried guns into an anti-Islam speaking event and livestreamed a Facebook video from outside afterward has been sentenced.

Ehab Jaber, of Sioux Falls, pleaded guilty in July to a federal firearms charge. On Monday, U.S. District Judge Lawrence Piersol sentenced the 46-year-old to seven months imprisonment with served time suspended, seven months in community or home detention and three years of probation.

Federal prosecutors say Jaber aimed to spark a violent reaction when he attended the April event with firearms in tow.

The Argus Leader reports that Jaber told the judge he was “heartbroken” by the high attendance at an event condemning his religion….
