Focus on the Family Writer Praises The Elephant Room
 
Recently, I had an opportunity to attend a unique one day event called the Elephant Room. The event was led by some of the most influential pastors in America today. Of course, the idea is that there's an elephant in the room. It's big. It's obvious. So, rather than trying to ignore it, tiptoe around it, or the worst case scenario of speaking about another behind someone's back, let's be honest enough to acknowledge its presence and talk about it. As one who's been to a multitude of conferences over the years, this was one of the most impactful events I've ever attended. Why? Because those of us in attendance were able to witness key leaders express various points of disagreement but do so in winsome and Christ-like ways.
