Dr. Voddie Baucham, Jr. Back to Home

Dr. Voddie Baucham, Jr. has been referred to as an “Evangelist to intellectuals.” He is one of the most sought-after preachers of his generation. His unique blend of sound biblical exposition, theological content, down-to-earth demeanor and engaging presence make it clear why this man is considered a modern day prophet.

However, that is only part of the story. He is also a pastor, church planter, author, professor, husband, father and …chef. Born in Los Angeles California in 1969, Voddie was raised by his single, teen-aged mother after his father went off to pursue a career in professional football.

Voddie was not raised in a Christian home. In fact, his mother was a practicing Buddhist. It was not until his freshman year in college that he actually heard, understood and responded to the saving message of Jesus Christ. The summer between his sophomore and junior years was very busy. That summer, Voddie preached his first sermon, was licensed in the ministry, and married Bridget. He and bridget met on January 21st, and were married June 30, 1989. They are the parents of four precious children, Jasmine (16), Trey (14), Elijah (2) and Asher (born January 30, of this year).

The Bauchams are a committed homeschool family. Voddie and Bridget both educate their children. They view education as an essential aspect of discipleship (Luke 6:40), and have seen firsthand the dangers of surrendering this crucial ground. They are both advocates and exponents of home education.

Dr. Baucham’s formal theological training began at Houston Baptist University where he earned BAs in Christianity and Sociology. From there he went on to earn degrees from Southwestern and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminaries, respectively, and has done additional post-graduate study at the University of Oxford, England. His academic disciplines include Evangelism/Missions and Apologetics. He has served as an adjunct professor at a number of colleges and seminaries, including the College of Biblical Studies (Houston), and Union University (Jackson, TN). What is not as well known, however, is Dr. Baucham’s commitment to the local church. Far from a roving itinerant, he has served on numerous church staffs over the past 17 years. In fact, he has spent 16 of the last 17 years laboring in the local church. He has spent 9 years as a Pastor of Missions, 4 years as a Teaching Pastor, and currently serves as Pastor of Preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, TX.

He and his wife, Susan, have been married 31 years and have grown three children.
Candace Bure Back to Home

  • You know Candace Cameron Bure best as the lovable sister D.J. Tanner on ABC’s hit sitcom Full House. Acting since the age of five, Candace has grown up in front of the camera working on numerous television commercials, films, primetime hits and critically acclaimed made for T.V. movies. Candace’s testimony includes coming to the Lord at age 12, but not having a spiritual awakening until several years later. At that time, she began a self-imposed hiatus from acting to stay at home and raise her three children with husband, NHL star, Valeri Bure. Married for 10 years, Candace shares how learning to be the wife God intended ultimately brought her husband to the Lord and changed her good marriage to a God centered, purpose-filled one. Her passions include sharing the importance of being the wife God created her to be as well as presenting the gospel message in the same way that changed her walk with the Lord forever. It’s been said, “Everywhere Candace goes it’s as if a huge light is shining all around her. She brightens every room and every life she enters. No matter how down or discouraged a person might be before she arrives, they’ll be lifted up and feeling the love only Jesus can bring in a person surrendered to Him.”
Candace Would be an ideal speaker for:
    -Outreach events
    -Youth conferences
-Events for young wives and mothers
    -Woman’s retreats

Candace has been greatly influenced by the ministry of her brother Kirk Cameron and her friend Ray Comfort. Candace has joined Kirk and Ray in their cause to teach and proclaim the need to return to Biblical evangelism and to reject the man-centered evangelism strategies that are producing false-converts. You will be encouraged, inspired and equipped as you hear the testimony and keynote presentation of Candace.
Mark Cahill Back to Home

  • Mark Cahill Ministries
  • www.markcahill.org
  • Mark Cahill is the author of the popular books One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven, commended by Bill Bright & David Noebel, and One Heartbeat Away: Your Journey Into Eternity.
  • After receiving a business degree from Auburn University, where he was an honorable mention Academic All-American in basketball, he spent several years in management and teaching before becoming a highly motivational communicator. As one of the Ambassador Agency's most requested speakers, Mark addresses over 45,000 people annually, equipping and challenging the saved to go out and reach the lost. His ministry has been commended by Dr. Bill Bright, Ray Comfort, Dr. David Noebel of Summit Ministries, and many other Christian leaders.
  • Called by Ray Comfort "the only man on earth who makes me feel lukewarm," Mark's greatest passion is for the entire world to know Jesus Christ, leading him to boldly witness to everyone he encounters-including Tigers Woods, Michael Jordan, Vanilla Ice, and Geraldo Rivera.
Kirk Cameron Back to Home

  • Kirk is best known as the lovable teen heartthrob Mike Seaver, of the award winning series Growing Pains. He entertained audiences worldwide as the charming troublemaker. He is also known to every Christian as "Buck Williams" from Left Behind: The Movie -- based on the NY Times runaway best selling novels by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins.
  • But much more noteworthy than his acting career was his conversion to Christianity. Kirk was not raised in a church-going home and describes himself as a staunch atheist from a very young age. By the age of 8 he was so convinced there was no God that he laughed at those who thought there was. But that all changed one afternoon as he sat in his sports car pondering the first Gospel message he had ever heard.
Steve Camp Back to Home

  • Christian music artist, Steve Camp, has been a dynamic voice to the Church for more than two decades. Over 50 top ten songs and 21 number ones spanning AC, CHR and INSP charts.
  • The Christian faith his parents taught him as a child led him to make a confession of faith at the age of five and which came to fruition in the form of a commitment to serve the Lord Jesus Christ when he was seventeen. As a product of the Jesus movement, he developed a special friendship with Larry Norman, Contemporary Christian Music's founding father, who helped give Steve direction in the craft of songwriting and purpose in his music. Meeting and fellowshipping with the late Keith Green also challenged him to deepen his commitment to the Lord and in turn to ministry.
  • In addition to his on-going music ministry, in the fall of 1998 Steve joined the pastoral staff at Grace Community Church where he served a one-year position as Associate Pastor of Adult Single Ministries and Evangelism, alongside his long-term friend and mentor, John MacArthur, spearheading a mid-week, nondenominational outreach called The GraceBridge.
  • After completing that year in ministry at Grace, Steve and his family moved back to Tennessee where they currently reside. He has been blessed with five wonderful children: Maxfield (17); Johnston (16); Jordan Ruth (15); Marshall (13); and Mary Morris (11) all who have made a profession of faith in Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives.
  • Although Steve has studied Music Composition and Theory at Roosevelt University under Professor Dodds, protégé to George Gershwin and studied Business Law/Music at the College of DuPage, his first passion is to communicate the gospel. In the tradition of Charles H. Spurgeon, A.W. Tozer, D.L. Moody, and others, Steve has not gone through the conventional academic circles for his theological or musical training. He has, however, obtained an immense working knowledge of Scripture and theology; reading an average of 3-4 books a week, has an effective working knowledge of the Greek language, and has accumulated a diversified-thorough library of historical and theological works. Steve holds solidly to an orthodox, historical, reformed, Biblical theology, in the tradition of John Owen, Jeremiah Burroughs, Thomas Watson, and contemporary authors (all of whom are mentors and friends) such as Dr. John F. MacArthur, Dr. D.A. Carson, Dr. R.C. Sproul and the late Dr. Stephen Olford.
  • As a gifted expositor of God's Word, Steve has conducted numerous lectures around the country on such subjects as Biblical Foundations for Music Ministry; the Purpose/Role of Music; the Character of Christian Leadership; and Reformation: the Need in Christian Music Today. In addition, for over twenty years he had been a featured artist and speaker at the Christian Artists Seminar in Estes Park, Colorado. He has been a guest lecturer for Trinity Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary in their chapel services. He was a featured presenter in March of 1997 for the Summit on Church Music Ministry held at Cedarville College, Ohio, contending for sound Biblical theology in Christian Music. He was one of one hundred invitees for the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals (ACE) Conference 1996 where The Cambridge Document was drafted. He has also written several articles for leading Christian publications as well as granted numerous interviews for tomes such as the Christian Booksellers Association Journal, Christianity Today, World Magazine, CCM, CCM Update, Release, etc. Mr. Camp is also a frequent guest on radio and television stations around the world. From July of 1995 to January of 1997, he had his own weekly radio talk show heard on the Salem Radio Network entitled, "No Compromise with Steve Camp". Other notable radio programs Mr. Camp has had the privilege to be on are the BBC; Hank Henegraff’s "The Bible Answer Man"; the Dick Staub Show; the Janet Parchel Show; PrimeTime America with Jim Warren; Iron Sharpens Iron with Chris Arnzen; and Issues, Etc. with Don Matzat. Steve is also a prolific writer on his blog CampOnThis and the AudienceONE Ministries website. He is a guest contributor at Slice of Laodicea, Christian Research Net and most recently, Christian Worldview Network.
  • Steve's first musical release was a single recording in 1975 on Mums/CBS Records, but Steve soon decided to dedicate his talents to the Lord and use them for His glory. He signed with Myrrh records in 1977 on the strength of a self-produced collection of songs. He went on to make five albums for that label. He then signed with Sparrow records in 1983, releasing nine powerful albums. In 1993, Steve signed with Warner Alliance and has recorded two projects - Taking Heaven By Storm and Mercy in the Wilderness. In late 1999 he released “Abandoned to God” and in the fall of 2002 released his latest album based on the writings of Dr. John Piper entitled, “Desiring God.” He has released eighteen albums to date.
  • Along with a string of number-one songs and top selling projects, in October of 1997 released an unprecedented document entitled, The 107 THESES: A Call to Reformation for the Contemporary Christian Music Industry. This document serves today as a clarion call for all in the contemporary Christian music industry (CCMI) to reformation in returning to the authority of Scripture; the accountability of the local church; the ascendancy of the glory of God; and not being unequally yoked with an unbelieving world. What sparked such a manifesto is virtually all of Christian music today is owned by three secular multinational corporations. “Think of it, all of God’s music owned by the world; who would have thought money would have such hold over ministry.” Today, Steve addresses this issue today in a five part teaching/seminar series called, “The Worship Centered Life.”
  • The past three years Steve has begun a new ministry called, “AudienceONE Ministries.” This is a new web-based ministry founded for three key reasons: 1.) To reclaim, recapture, and reform Christian music and ministry for the church; 2.) To equip other believers with the truth of God’s Word to be faithful Bereans in this post-modern culture we live in; 3.) and to call all men to repentance with the gospel of grace given any opportunity. One key distinctive with this new ministry is to make all of our ministry resources available for whatever people can afford. It is Steve’s firm conviction that money should never be a prerequisite for ministry. As our Lord has instructed, “Freely we have received; freely we should give.” And as the Apostle John has so wonderfully said, “Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; and they bear witness to your love before the church; and you will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the [unbelievers]. Therefore we ought to support such men, that we may be fellow workers with the truth” (3 John 5-8).

Strategist

Janet has spearheaded several high-profile national campaigns:

  • Faith2Action has spearheaded a campaign to stop this assault on our freedoms through the new site: www.StopHateCrimesNow.com F2A has filmed and produced television ads featuring two grandmothers who were arrested and jailed because of a Pennsylvania “Hate Crimes” law for sharing their faith on the public sidewalk in Philadelphia.  By placing these ads on national television, F2A will sound the alarm against the Federal Hate Crimes bill.
  • Faith2Action produced a :30 Second “Voice for the Voiceless” television ad and through Faith2Action Partners raised nearly $200,000 for airtime to place it on South Dakota television stations during the 2006 Ballot Initiative in an effort to restore protection to the children of that state.  While that goal has not yet been achieved, a solid base for another attempt was secured.
  • In late 2005 and early 2006, she collaborated with prominent leaders, such as Dr. Rick Scarborough, Dr. Alan Keyes, and Phyllis Schlalfy, in developing and delivering the Values Voters' Contract with Congress.
  • In spring 2005, she led a “Blue Finger” campaign that sent thousands of huge puffy hands to U.S. Senators district offices, urging them to end the obstruction of federal judges and allow an up or down vote.
  • In 2003-2004, Faith2Action developed Marriage Defense Kit to generate grassroots response by providing individualized letters to the President, U.S. Senators, and their Representatives asking for passage of the Marriage Protection Act, complete with addressed and pre-stamped envelopes, talking points, action steps, and the state affiliate group listing for the American Family Association, Christian Coalition, Concerned Women for America, Focus on the Family, Family Research Council, Eagle Forum, and Traditional Values Coalition to facilitate local involvement—the first coordinated effort of its kind.
  • In summer 2003, she led “Project Rosebud,” sending thousands of roses to President Bush, encouraging to him to appoint only pro-life justices to the Supreme Court.
  • In January, 2003, Janet launched the "I am an American" Campaign featuring a 3-D ultrasound picture of an unborn baby's face and a call for action on the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Full page ads ran in newspapers across the country, along with television ads, billboards, church bulletins, and bumper stickers, through National Right to Life's network and 35 Faith2Action partnering organizations.
  • In 2001 & 2002 Janet led the "Shake the Nation back to Life Campaign," which coordinated with more than 20 pro-life groups to send the message "loud and clear" about the need for pro-life judges to the U.S. Senate-to be accompanied with more than 45,000 baby rattles. Folger wrote and was the Executive Producer of the television commercials for this campaign that ran nationally and won the "Silver Angel Award" for excellence in Media.
  • In 2000, Janet spearheaded the "Second Thoughts About Abortion" campaign to raise awareness of the life-altering consequences of abortion. The campaign featured a powerful, award-winning television commercial that aired in Philadelphia and Los Angeles during the weeks of the Republican and Democratic political conventions. A dozen national organizations joined in the effort.
  • In 1999, after the shootings at Columbine, she launched the "Yes, I Believe in God" campaign designed to equip and empower students across the nation to boldly proclaim their faith in Jesus Christ. More than 10,000 "Yes, I Believe in God Kits" went to high school leaders across the country-complete with resources from the Alliance Defense Fund, American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), and Liberty Counsel for students to call in the event their First Amendment rights were violated. During this campaign, she co-authored, with Christian recording artist Rebecca St. James, the "Yes, I Believe in God" song that climbed to number 2 on the Christian Adult Contemporary Music Chart.
  • In 1998, Janet coordinated the "Truth In Love" campaign that carried the message of hope for change to those struggling with homosexuality in full-page ads and television commercials across the country. This unified effort was the first of its kind and its unprecedented success set the stage for the campaigns that followed, and ultimately, the foundation of Faith2Action.

Todd Friel Back to Home

  • Todd studied to be a pastor for four years but neglected to actually get saved. He abandoned church ministry plans and did secular TV, radio and stand-up comedy for 6 years. Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres, Air Supply, David Sanborn, and Bill Maher have all closed for Todd. Gratefully, God saved Todd (from hell and stand-up comedy). Since then, Todd has combined his pastoral training and media skills to host The Way of the Master Radio with Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. His first book was originally titled, "See, I Can String a Sentence Together," but ultimately it was titled, "Don't Stub Your Toe." He is presently working on "Read it Right," a hermeneutics primer. Marty Goetz Back to Home

  1. We are pleased to have Marty Goetz with us in Branson for 2009. Marty is one of Brannon's favorite Christian singers and has literally worn out more than one of his CDs. Marty was also a favorite of Dr. Adrian Rogers and thus Marty played the piano and sang at the funeral of Dr. Rogers. Marty will be one of your favorite Christian singers once you hear his beautiful music and the Biblical truth of this modern day psalmist.
  2. His songs are scriptures beautifully set to music, leaving listeners spiritually moved, inspired and educated. With melodic and fresh acoustical/classic arrangements, Marty Goetz has the ability to lead you into a place of true intimacy with God. Though Marty would never refer to himself as 'anointed' the endless letters he receives confirm that God is moving through him and his music.
  3. In 1965, when thirteen year-old MARTY GOETZ stood at the bimah of Cleveland's Temple on the Heights for his Bar-mitzvah and solemnly sang the ancient words of the Torah, no one -- least of all Marty -- could have envisioned that some twenty years later he would be singing to God, this time as a featured performer at Billy Graham's 1991 Rally in Central Park. For, although Marty knew that music would always be a part of his life, God was something he thought he could now leave behind.
  4. As half of 'Bert & Marty', he sang at clubs and dinner theaters around Pittsburgh while studying English at Carnegie Mellon University. There was even a non-singing guest appearance on 'Mister Rogers' as Smokey Bear.
  5. After graduation, he and Bert set out for New York City, determined, as Marty remembers, 'to give it two weeks to become a star or I'd go back to Cleveland and the family furniture business.' Just one week later, Marty and Bert found themselves performing at hotels in the Catskill Mountains. At the end of the summer they were named 'Best New Act of 1974'.
  6. Then Bert found Jesus. Horrified at his partner's born again experience, Marty broke up the act and returned to New York City. He worked steadily as a songwriter and cabaret entertainer until 1978, when he shifted his ambitions from Broadway to Pop and moved to Los Angeles.
  7. Provoked by the increasing numbers of born-agains in his life, he began reading the Bible, 'looking for loopholes'. A few short weeks later, sitting alone one night on a friend's balcony, looking down on the lights of Sunset Boulevard, he realized with certainty that 'the Jesus of the New Testament was the Messiah my people have been longing for'.
  8. Within a year, Marty began performing with Debby Boone and soon began to establish himself as a strong and passionate voice for Messianic believers within the church.
  9. He has ministered before congregations as diverse as Greg Laurie's Harvest Christian Fellowship and Harvest Crusades, Coral Gables Presbyterian, Chicago's Moody Church, David Wilkerson's Times Square Church. Ministries such as Focus on the Family, Insight For Living, Billy Graham Training Center/The Cove and CBN have invited Marty to come and share his musical gifts and talents.

  • On election night in 1998, he went to bed losing by a mere 20 votes out of over 30,000 cast. After a recount three weeks later, he was declared the winner by 36 votes and entered the Texas House of Representatives as the youngest freshman.
  • Representative Green served a second term after winning by a twenty percent margin in November 2000. As a result of his service to the people of the great State of Texas, Rick has been recognized by the United States of America Non Commissioned Officers Association with the "State Legislature Vanguard Award" for passage of the Teach Freedom Act, House Bill 1776. In addition, he has received Free Market Foundation's "Leader of Excellence Award" and Eagle Forum's "Freedom and Family Award"
  • Rick now travels the nation speaking for David Barton’s WallBuilders organization, educating and inspiring audiences to do their part to preserve and protect freedom for future generations. He is an outspoken advocate for returning prayer to our schools and promoting in-depth study of the founding fathers and founding documents. He is a husband, a father of three sons and a daughter, and a Texas leader dedicated to renewing America's passion for life and freedom by restoring her foundational values. • Carl Kerby, one of the founding board members of Answers in Genesis and one of its most dynamic speakers, became a Christian in 1987 after attending a crusade in Salt Lake City, Utah. Because Carl had grown up in a very liberal church and in a family that was involved in the wild world of professional wrestling (Carl's father was known as Luke Brown the "Kentuckian," and professionally wrestled from 1958-1974), he did not take the Bible and its teachings seriously. In fact, even as a new Christian, Carl's very first Sunday school teacher taught him that evolution and the Bible could mix!
  • As an air traffic controller in the military in the late 1980s and a "baby Christian," Carl happened to take a flight to Portland, Oregon to visit his father. He rode in the cockpit of this civilian airline. During a conversation with the pilots, the creation/evolution issue came up. Carl indicated that you could take evolution and add it to the Bible and there wouldn't be a problem. Well, the co-pilot sat up straight and looked over at the pilot and then looked back at Carl and said: "I'm sorry Carl, but that's incorrect!"
  • Now, the pilot wasn't trying to shove his opinion down Carl's throat. He simply showed him from the Bible that evolution was a completely different worldview and could not be found in Scripture. He introduced Carl to Ken Ham's book "The Lie: Evolution." After reading it, Carl's faith was totally changed. He now knew that God's Word is true from the beginning (Psalm 119:160).
  • Since 1996, Carl has been an air traffic controller at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, one of the busiest airports in the world, and in a position that is perhaps the most demanding in air traffic control today.
  • Carl has a burden to reach the people of Japan. As an air traffic controller in Japan during the early 1980s, he met his wife there (they now have two children, Alisa and Carl Jr.). Carl reports that Japan is "a very anti-Christian nation, although they have a wonderful culture and a beautiful land." He believes that the AiG message "will have a profound effect on the Japanese."
  • Carl says that the Answers in Genesis ministry "is not just about creation/evolution. It is all about being able to trust God and His Word without reservation."
  • Ken Ham calls Carl: "One of the most dynamic, easy-to-understand speakers on the Book of Genesis in America today."
