Distortion of Beliefs in Our Youth
In all of our years of ministry, we've never known an issue more dominant than
what is presently on the hearts and minds of today's pastors, youth workers,
and parents.
We continue to hear one dominating and reoccurring theme. It is what the vast
majority of those responsible to our young people now identify as their
number one priority.
It is as if every one of our leaders & parents woke up this morning and said...

"I fear that our young people will spend their childhood and teenage years in the church and still be captured by the culture!"

This fear is becoming a reality. A recent study reveals that 88% of our young
people will leave the church and not return! The simple fact is far too many of
our kids are adopting a "Christianity" that makes little difference
in their lives.
We believe the problem is that today's postmodern culture is so prevalent that
it has distorted the very foundational beliefs of our young people and those
distortions are robbing them of both understanding and experiencing the
real and relevant Christ!
- To 91 percent of our kids, all truth is relative.
- To 64 percent of our churched kids, Christ came to earth to teach
them how to live better so they can merit heaven.
Because of those and many more distorted views our young people are failing
to see and experience Christ for who He is.

We sincerely believe we must reintroduce Christ to our young people as the one and
only Savior who is
- real,
- relevant,
- and has the power to transform a dead, sinful existence into a living relationship with God.
It's not so much that we haven't presented a real and relevant Christ to our kids, it's
that our young people have interpreted that Christ through a postmodern grid. The time is
now to boldly reintroduce Christ so that he shatters their postmodern believing and
helps them recognize that Christ is the ONE who came to transform their very lives so "they are not the
same anymore... a new life has begun!" (2 Cor. 5:17)
We call this empowering parents to move their young people beyond belief to convictions.
We are locking arms with Josh McDowell and the Beyond Belief Campaign. Together, we believe this is the most
important message we have ever delivered to the church!
We are convinced if we do not lead our young people to a life-changing relationship with Christ - nothing else matters.
